YOUTH Stars United maintained their lead in the race to the Premier Division title in the Tobago Football Association (TFA) with a 2-1 victory over Bethel United.

Goals by Akiniyel Rouse and Akeel Sterling gave the Youth Stars the win in Wednesday’s game at the Cyd Gray Complex. Ronaldo John got the losers’ goal.

But Sidey’s whipped Mason Hall USSS 4-2 at Moriah to keep up their strong challenge to the leaders.

Pavel Warrick, Glenroy Fredericks, Kyle Davidson and Kester Kent got one goal each for the winners while Akeil Graham got both goals for Mason Hall.

Youth Stars now have 24 points while Sidey’s are on 22 with just four games left to complete the season.

Georgia shut out Black Rock 3-0 in the early game at Mt Pleasant with a double from Kerron Phillip and another goal from Kasiya Thomas.

And they lurk in third place with 18 points having played nine games to the leaders’ 10.

Also at Mt Pleasant in the night game, Roxborough Lakers kept their slim hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over Lambeau with Kim Harris netting both goals.

With three games to complete their Championship Division schedule, Golden Lane (31 points) kept their 11-point advantage over Moriah Youths with a default victory over Mt Grace United in a game scheduled for Moriah on Thursday.

Moriah Youths remain in second after a 6-2 thumping of Hope Village Milan at River Bank.

Hero of this game was Hakeem Legall who scored a hat- trick. Other goals came from Keiff Roberts, Kysean Thomas and Sherlon Boxill

In Division One, Belle Garden benefitted from a default win over Buccoo Ball Park.
