St Clair’s Coaching School will be going for the clean sweep in the Tobago Football Association this evening when it tackles Lambeau in the Community Cup final at Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet, from 7 pm.

And, coach Bertille St Clair is confident his team will add the knockout title to the Premiership League crown and FA Trophy against the First Division champion.

St Clair, founder of the club 35 years ago, said he is hoping to make the clean sweep. “Coaching School makes a difference in the football in Tobago and once opposing players put on their jerseys they work harder against us. They all want to beat Coaching School.

That’s their incentive. “We have had about two to three injuries but we have a large group of players who could pick up the slack. When one man is out another steps...

We should do well. We have worked hard for the final game. St Clair mentioned that his club has applied to get into the Pro League and is working hard on that.

“We recognise that  some of the talented Tobago players are not getting the opportunity they deserve because they are not being represented by a team in the Pro League,” he said.

Coach of Lambeau, Wayne Clarke said his team has every reason to beat Coaching School:

“We had 26 teams in the zone and we are in the last two and that’s all reason for us to be confident.  “We had players who stood out in the goal-scoring department but we have had a total team effort.

The guys have worked hard throughout the season and we can’t single out an individual. It has been a team effort.“Since St Clair’s will be going into the match as a firm favourite we would use that to our advantage.

“We will be playing our usual free-flowing game. Nothing different. We are going into the game just as we have approached every other game.

“We are not intimidated by the opposition. As a matter of fact, we have nothing to worry about. They should be the one with the worry on their backs.” In the first match of the double-header two hours earlier, Roxborough Lakers will face Signal Hill for the third and fourth place.
