Bmobile Joe Public forward Kerry Baptiste continued his magnificent scoring form of last season in the TT Pro League when he netted a second-half  hattrick in a 6-0 victory against home side Avenues United in the 2010 CFU Club Championship preliminary round on Sunday.

Sunday's victory gives Joe Public a great chance of finishing at the top of Group C and qualifying for the second round meeting seeded teams Puerto Rico Islanders, Tempete FC of Haiti and Pro League club San Juan Jabloteh.

Baptiste who registered a double against Leo Victor in the opening match notched his first goal against United one minute after the break and two minutes later his double as Joe Public enjoyed a 3-0 advantage at the Victoria Park in Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Kareem Young had the Pro League club 1-0 in the first half netting a 7th minute item and to make it worst for the home side, Conrod Smith added a double late in the match netting in the 88th and 90th minutes to complete the 6-0 drubbing.

"The experience is a good one so far," said coach King. "We played with alot more discipline than we did in our opening game against Leo Victor. "We are always playing to win but also using this experience as part of our pre-season."

Joe Public will next face Devonshire Cougars of Bermuda in their final preliminary round match on Tuesday and King is confident of making it three wins in as many matches.

"We saw Cougars play and they are not bad, however I believe their fitness will tell against us. So I would use the opportunity to use some of the players we didnt utalize in the opening two matches."
