Caledonia AIA joined T&TEC FC, San Juan Jabloteh and W Connection in the top of the ladder traffic with a 3-1 win over Police FC on Saturday at the Ato Boldon Stadium for its fourth consecutive League win.

Striker Jamaal Gay bagged a double, netting on either side of the half with goals in the 17th and 70th minutes, separated by Police FC’s Atiba Peters 40th minute item.

December/January window signing Devorn Jorsling then completed Caledonia’s 3-1 rout with an item in the 87th minute to put the Morvant/Laventille side in third position with 15 points, just as leaders T&TEC, second positioned Jabloteh and fourth positioned Connection.

The victory—Caledonia’s fourth straight win since the return of technical director Jamaal Shabazz from international duty with the Guyana Men’s National Senior Team during second round World Cup qualifiers.

Caledonia and Jabloteh both have the chance of pulling away on Tuesday with rescheduled Round One Match Day One League fixtures against Defence Force and Police FC respectively.

Caledonia hosts the soldiers from 4pm at the Larry Gomes Stadium while Jabloteh are visitors against the ‘lawmen’ from 6pm at the Ato Boldon Stadium.

Defence Force, playing only its third match of the season on Saturday didn’t pick up points despite holding a compelling 3-1 advantage over DIRECTV North East Stars when in the 58th minute of play, stadium lights at the Malabar venue blanked out.

Stars’ Anthony Wolfe’s 34th minute converted penalty strike; Defence Force’s Richard Roy pair of goals with a converted penalty in the 43rd and strike in the 47th minute and Kevon Carter’s 55th minute item will not stand as the Round Two Match Day Four fixture will be rescheduled and played from the first minute.
