Maciek Hoyte continued his free flow of goals when he scored the winner close to the hour-mark to lead his club, St Ann’s Rangers played to its fifth consecutive victory in the Under-15 division of the Oasis Youth Pro League, on Sunday.

Rangers won the match 2-1, with Hoyte’s decisive goal giving his team its second lead of the match. Nicholas Blake opened for the victors in the 27th minute, before Jabari Mayers equalized for North East Stars in the 45th minute.

The result kept Rangers on top of the standings with W Connection keeping in the run with a 7-1 demolition of T&TEC. Isaiah Hudson added four goals to his impressive run for the “Savonnetta Boys”, with Joshua Joseph, Jeremiah Kesar and Kevon Smith all on target with one item each.

In the Under-13 division, North East Stars also carried its winning streak since the season’s start to five matches, after crushing Rangers 6-1, as the latter suffered its fourth defeat of the campaign.

The Under-17 North East Stars, were also victorious. Stars handed Rangers its first loss of the campaign, with a 5-3 thrilling win, to go joint top with the latter team.

Both teams exchanged leads and the match eventually reached a 3-3 scoreline, before Kirton Baird and Akilon Graham sealed the win with efforts in the 84th and 90th minutes. Both teams, Rangers and Stars sit on top of the standings, with the former leading via goal-difference.
