Needing just one point to secure the 2014 Pro League Under 18/Reserve League title on the penultimate day, San Juan Jabloteh secured the title in high fashion with a comfortable 5-0 win and maximum three points over Central FC last Sunday.

And on the final match day of the 2014 Youth Pro League season, the San Juan club could celebrate the Under 14 title if they can stay ahead of North East Stars, as both teams are tied at 37 points in first and second position respectively.

Jabloteh will host Defence Force at the San Juan Secondary School ground on Sunday 6 July in the U14, U16 and U18/Reserve Divisions, while North East Stars will visit Police FC at the St. James Barracks Ground in all divisions.

Senior team regular Shaquille Bertrand, who celebrated his 20th birthday a month ago, scored on either side of the half for the Jabloteh U-18/Reserve, with goals in the 37th and 87th minutes, after earlier goals by Tristan Hodge and Brent Sam in the 17th and 28th minutes respectively paved way.

Dareem Daniel later wrapped up the comfortable 5-0 scoring with an 85th minute as Jabloteh celebrated the U-18/Reserve title in style.

With 37 points at the top, the Jabloteh U-18/Reserves stands six points clear of second positioned W Connection (31 points) with just one match remaining.

Connection, having already secured the U-16 title two weeks ago and secured the second spot in the U-18/Reserve Division, also looks certain for a creditable third position finish in the U-14 Division.

Meanwhile North East Stars, the only team with a chance of hurdling Jabloteh for the U-14 title, are coming off an impressive 10-2 win over St. Ann’s Rangers last Sunday.

The young Stars opened the scoring in as early as the 1st minute of play through double goalscorer Jalani Augustus, while Kishon Hackshaw grabbed a hat-trick in the feast.
