Seven DIRECT-TV W Connection players – Joevin Jones (TT), Daneil Cyrus (TT), Alvin Jones (TT), Tremain Paul (SLU), Kurt Frederick (SLU), Jamil Joseph (SLU) and Shervon Jack (SLU), could potentially take the field on Friday evening, as Trinidad and Tobago face St Lucia in Caribbean Cup action at the "Savonetta boys" home, the Ato Bolton Stadium.

The last time the two nations met was in a 2010 friendly and the Soca Warriors triumphed 3-1. Overall both teams have two wins each and a draw dating back to their first encounter in 1991. One of those wins for St. Lucia occurred during the 1991 Caribbean in Jamaica.

Current DIRECTV W Connection Technical Director/Head coach Stuart Charles-Fevrier was in charge of his native St. Lucian's, leading them to a 2-1 victory over a Trinidad side led by Edgar Vidale. The other St. Lucia victory was a slender 1-0 scalp, in a 2002 CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifier at the Marvin Lee Stadium.

"Firstly it's good that so many of the club's players are participating in the Caribbean cup, its useful competitive action ahead of the Pro League season resumption," Charles-Fevrier told DIRECTV W Connection Media.

"Admittedly I have not kept an eye on St. Lucia football since being in Trinidad, but while the hosts are obvious favourites and trying to rebuild, St. Lucia will see this as opportunity to come out the group and try to replicate the performance of the 1991 Caribbean cup team I managed who finished third," said Charles-Fevrier who coached the Soca Warriors senior and under-23 set-ups in 2003.

If Soca Warriors coach Stephen Hart decides to give Alvin Jones a start over Justin Hoyte, then compatriots Jones and Kurt Frederick who were the most impressive full-backs in 2013/14 Digicel Pro League campaign, will look to cancel out each other's marauding overlapping runs.

In the center of the park, Tremaine-Paul will play a key role for St. Lucian's as they seek to subdue Joevin Jones and other talented Trinidad and Tobago mid-fielders in the "engine-room" battle.

"It's obviously going to be a pleasure facing some of my team mates on the international stage for the first time. I'm well aware of their capabilities. Most of them have moved on in their club careers, so the task is even greater since the last time we played together," said Paul.

"I concur with what Tremaine said, those guys are good players and I will look to go out there and do my best against them" concluded Frederick.
