THE DISCIPLINARY Committee of the TT Pro League will meet as soon as possible to decide on the matter involving a pair of brawls, on and off the field, in Friday’s Round Two Match Day Nine contest between Point Fortin Civic FC and Police at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.

Point Fortin were leading 3-1 in second-half stoppage time when a brawl ensued between both teams following a foul on Civic’s striker Marcus Joseph.

And things got equally heated in the stands when a water bottle, thrown from the stands, allegedly struck the face of a Police player (who was doing ball-boy duties at the game), and a fan was accosted by off-duty police officers.

Pro League Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dexter Skeene, in a brief interview on Monday, stated that they were in possession of a report from match commissioner Carl Joseph, but were still awaiting one from referee Keon Yorke. He noted that, upon receiving both reports, the Committee will meet and make a decision on the unsavoury incident.

But Skeene emphatically said, “the Pro League doesn’t condone any sort of violence. Our values are consistent with fair play, discipline and respect for others."
