An early strike by Adam Construction San Juan Jabloteh’s Shaquille Holder in the 12th minute stood the match winner against U-17 leaders Joe Public 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in their Oasis Youth Pro League Round Two Match Day One clash at the San Juan Secondary Ground.

Jabloteh, now with 28 points and maintaining second position, closed in on Joe Public’s 33 points at the top but had much more to celebrate as the victory ended the Macoya based Lions perfect run of form this season.

Prior to Sunday’s Round Two Match Day One clash, Joe Public enjoyed an eleven match winning/perfect run.

Jabloteh also defeated Joe Public 1-0 in the U-13 division and slammed a 9-0 victory in the U-15 division earlier in the day.

Rahim Gordon netted the lone U-13 item in the 60th minute while a double each by Kadeem Corbin (23rd and 29th minutes), Jelani Parkinson (76th and 84th minutes) and Akeem Garcia (48th and 52nd minutes) from the penalty spot and an item each by Daniel Banfield (16th minute), Jabari Cummings (34th minute) and Kyle Lancaster (68th minute) made up the nine goals in the U17 match against Joe Public.

Meantime U-13 and U-15 leaders W Connection were in sparkling form against visiting Defence Force at Gilbert Park in Couva netting a total 22 goals in all divisions.

Connection began the day 4-0 winners against Defence Force in the U-13 division with Jarod Gordon netting twice (4th and 52nd minutes) and Isaiah Hudson (65th minute) and Judah St. Louis (70th minute) netting a goal each to maintain their position at the top of the standings with 34 points, followed by Joe Public in second with 27 points and Jabloteh third with 26 points.

Connection followed up with an astounding 11-0 win in the U15 division, stretching its winning form to a perfect twelve and 36 points at the top, with 53 goals scored and just conceding two goals in the division all season.

Leading goalscorer Yafeu Rougier took his tally to 22 goals netting a hattrick on Sunday with goals in the 21st, 41st and 59th minutes.

Aswad Pilgrim also notched a hattrick and took his tally to 8 goals with items in the 61st, 69th and 71st minutes while Nicholas Dillon (25th minute), Yaseen Rivas (45th minute), Mathias Baptiste (57th minute) and Jodel St. John (60th minute) got their names on the scoresheet. Rivas and Baptiste’s goals were separated by a Defence Force own goal in the 50th minute.

And to wrap up the day at Gilbert Park, Connection whipped the visitors 7-1 in the U17 division thanks to a handful by Neil Benjamin Jr. netting in the 20th, 25th, 29th, 86th and 88th minutes and a double by Jaffett Williams (51st and 83rd minutes).

Connection moved up one spot on the standings with 24 points in third while Benjamin Jr. saw his tally up to nine goals and shares the division's top goalscorer spot with Akeem Julien (T&TEC), Arvin Prescod (St. Ann's Rangers), Garvin Samaroo and Marcus Gomez (Joe Public).

Osei Charles netted the lone item for the sixth positioned Defence Force from the penalty spot in the 55th minute.
