Malabar FC missed its chance to steer five points clear at the top of the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association (EFA) Premier Division, after being held 1-1 away to third-from-bottom Boss FC, over the weekend.

Yuhanna Scott gave Boss FC the lead in the 63rd minute, but his goal was cancelled out by a strike from Malabar’s Cornell Samuel with a quarter-hour left in the match, which left the league leader with its second draw of the season with ten matches played. Malabar has lost just one match this season.

La Horquetta SA, meanwhile, remained in the running for the title with a 3-0 victory over Carib FC, thanks to a double from Wesley Elcock and a lone goal from Omekue Barbour.

The result put La Horquetta just three points off Malabar, together with Joe Public, which edged FC Maloney 1-0.  Kerron Reid scored in the 51st minute for Joe Public. In the First Division, T&T Prisons continued its excellent season with a 6-0 thrashing of Crompton SC.
