Las Lomas United and Cunupia FC completed the semifinal line-up for today’s Ramsingh Sports World-sponsored Central Football Association FA Trophy competition after comfortable semifinal wins in Friday’s two remaining quarterfinal matches at Hugo Francis Recreation Ground, Woodford Lodge, Chaguanas on Friday night.

In the first match, Kareem Beckles netted a second-half hat-trick to inspire Las Lomas to a 4-0 thrashing of KC Perseverance United. Beckles found the target in the 56th, 68th and 77th minute after Kemlee Ramoutar had fired in a 14th minute opener for a 1-0 half-time lead.

Cunupia then got a goal each from Akshay Sooknanan (28th), Anthony Noel (53rd), Aaron Andrews (66th) and Ricardo Collier (76th) to whip St Mary’s United 4-2.

Dennis Hunt got both replies for St Mary’s in the 22nd and 72nd minutes. Today in the semifinal, Edinburgh 500 will meet Enterprise Youths from 5pm while Las Lomas comes up against Cunupia in the second match two hours later, with the winners to meet in Thursday’s final at the same venue.
