Akeem Redhead earned defending champion Pt Fortin Civic Centre its first point of the season in the Southern Football Association Petrotrin Super League after two matches in a 1–1 draw with Siparia Spurs at Irwin Park, Siparia on Saturday.

For Spurs, which was relegated to the SFA from the bmobile National Super League at the end of last season, Kheon John netted before Redhead got Civic Centre’s equaliser.

In its first match in the Winston St Clair Division, Civic Centre was blanked 2–0 by visiting Penal All Stars with Tony Cornwall and Andrew Samuel, the scorers while Spurs shut down Night Stars United 4–2 with Kareem Moses, Sadiq Stewart, Derverne Wallace and Kyge Hospedales on target for the winner.

Centre For Excellence was the biggest winner in Group B, though, 6–0 over Night Stars led by a beaver-trick from Mark Voisin and one each from Steffon Williams and W Alphonso.

However, Marabella Family Circle Centre had the most convincing win so far in the SFA 8–0 over San Fernando Giants in the Roy Jagroopsingh Group A, led by two goals each from Shavon Fredrick, Bevon Bass and Renefor Martin while former national youth player, Juma Clarence and Stephan Campbell added one each at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium training field.

There were also 4–0 wins for Cedar Hill United and Big Dreams over UUFC and Giants, respectively.
