There were days past when Leeds United inflicted heavy defeats on opponents in Central Football Association football matches. But on Saturday, they were on the wrong end of a big score when heavily defeated 6-0 by Hugo Francis group leaders Eagles United at the Hugo Francis recreation ground.
Eagles dominated with three goals in either half. Machel James scored a hat-trick, while Jamal Antoine, Akil Nichols, Seion Regis inflicted further misery on Leeds when combining for three goals in the last quarter-hour.
Meanwhile, Henry Franklin group pacesetters Coosal’s Las Lomas lost for the first time this season when Deon Ogarro’s last-minute goal gave Xtrafoods Chaguanas FC a 2-1 victory at New Settlement Ground. Las Lomas, however, still lead the group.
