The Southern Football Association (SFA) will wrap up its 2013 competitions later this week with the Executive Cup final carded for Thursday, between arguably the top two teams in the zone this season, the University of T&T (UTT) and Petrotrin Palo Seco Sporting Club, at the SFA headquarters, Skinner Park, San Fernando.

The fixture will kick off at 7 pm, a few days before the same two teams meet in a possible Petrotrin Super League Big Six championship decider. The top team from the SFA Big Six competition, will advance to the Champions of Champions Super League qualifiers.

The UTT team which is coached by national football standouts Everard “Gally” Cummings and Clayton “JB” Morris has shown remarkable improvement as the season progressed, and is on track for the SFA 2013 league title.

The Oilboys, under former national striker and T&TEC coach Dexter Cyrus with Strike Squad talisman and former United Petrotrin coach, Brian Williams as the technical director, has had one of their best seasons in recent times. They have already won the 2013 SFA League Knockout Cup, reached the quarter-finals of the 2013 National FA Trophy playoffs and have the SFA 2013 League title in their crosshairs.

This Executive Cup Final which would showcase the top southern football talent on and off the field, promises to be a howler. A win would mean a lot to both teams who are set to end their season with a bang.
