Marabella Family Crisis Centre climbed to the top of the Southern Football Association Petrotrin Super League “Big-Six” competition after winning its scheduled encounter against Pt Fortin Civic without breaking a sweat after the latter failed to show Ben Lomond Recreation Ground, Williamsville on Saturday.

With the win Marabella jumped to seven points from three matches, the same Moruga FC and Barrackpore United, but ahead on a better goal-difference.

Host Moruga which has played a match more got a a second straight hat-trick from Nigel John in a 4-1 defeat of Giants at Moruga.

Kyle Morgan also found the net in a second straight match for Moruga while Kerwyn Samuel got Giants’ consolation, and in the other match, cellar-placed University of T&T (UTT) held previous leader Barrackpore United goalless at Tarouba.

Barrackpore is already through to the SFA League Cup final after thumping Penal All Stars 7-1 on aggregate in their semifinal while second-leg of the other semifinal between University of T&T and Moruga FC which stands at 2-2 took place last night.

The winner of the League Cup will earn $4,000 and the runner-up, $2,000.

And in the Executive Cup final carded for Thursday, December 11, Moruga FC meets Penal All Stars from 6.30pm.
