THE NEW-LOOK administration of the Eastern Football Association (EFA) of Trinidad and Tobago is planning a bumper season for 2016 and aims at increasing the number of participants from within its boundaries.

With last season’s champions Valtrin FC promoted to the National Super League, EFA president Linus Sanchez and his team are inviting clubs to register for the forthcoming season in what is arguably the most popular and successful league in Regional Association football.

The 2016 season is set to kick off tomorrow at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima with the highlight being a clash between Pro League powerhouses North East Stars and the Eastern All Star XI, which will feature some of the top players in the league as well as a selection of the region’s aspiring talent at youth level.

“Our region is overflowing with talented footballers and teams participating in various communities, we invite them to take up the challenge at the next level with a view of playing in national competitions such as the FA Trophy and Super League,” Sanchez said.

“Clubs will also benefit from courses and programmes conducted by the Association and the governing TT FA once the criteria is met,” according to the EFA president.

Clubs wishing to register with the EFA can call 703-7487 or email efatt@outlook.com.
