St Mary’s United captured the Central Football Association FA Trophy after a 4-2 penalty kicks win over Strugglers in the final on Monday night at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva. Both teams had battled to a 0-0 draw at the end of the 90-minutes regulation time which was dominated by Strugglers.
Earlier on at the same venue, Leeds also won the Sani Tank League Cup final 3-1 on penalty kicks over Predators, after a 1-1 deadlock.
Kidel Glasgow had fired Leeds into a 1-0 lead but Darwin Fraser levelled the score for Predators to send the match into penalty kicks.
