WI Sports Real Dimension earned three points without breaking sweat after Club Sando forfeited their match against the League front runners over the weekend as Trinidad and Tobago Women’s League Football (WoLF) continued over the weekend.

In other Super League matches, Rangers defeated the struggling Point Fortin Pioneers 5-0, with two goals coming from Kaydeen Jack and Jo Marie Lewis respectively backed by one from Tisha Leah Pope.

Additionally, St Augustine FC wrapped up another three points as they breezed past Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) 3-0 at Frederick Settlement Grounds.

“Gustine got on the score sheet in the first ten minutes of play when Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Female Player of the Year, Kedie Johnson, beat QPCC defender on the right flank and cut in to curl a shot to the far post. Laurelle Theodore would extend the lead to 2-0 in the 25’ when she beat her marker inside the six-yard box and shot past the QPCC custodian.

It was much of the same in the second half, with QPCC making some attacks but the ‘Gustine’ defence showed great resilience.

Theodore scored again in the 77th minute when she turned her defender and shot into the roof of the net.

St Augustine then extended their unbeaten run of form yesterday as they held WI Sports Real Dimension to a 1-0 win.

After coming off a decisive win over the weekend, ‘Gustine looked the more dangerous of the two and continuously tested veteran and former national goalkeeper, Lisa Jo Ramkissoon.

Ramkissoon showed her experience and kept her team in the game, until the 69’ when Kedie Johnson beat her marker on the right flank, cut in and crossed Theodore who made no mistake with a glancing header at the far post.

The League leaders had a chance for the equaliser in the 80’ when the referee called a questionable penalty in the box.

Captain Janine Francois stepped up for her team, but the shot went way over bar and the score would remain until the whistle blew.

As it stands, WI Sports Real Dimension must win its remaining two matches to seal the 2016 TT WoLF title. Rangers must win all their remaining matches to stay in contention for the 2016 Championship.

While St Augustine does not have a chance to win the Championship, they still have a chance to come in second place and must defeat Rangers and Tobago.

Petrotrin also has the same fate as St Augustine, but has a chance to vie for the Championship with four games remaining and depending on the outcome of the other matches.
