HARLEM STRIKERS trounced Inter National Connection 7-0 last Thursday, in the Quarter Final Round of the Central Football Association Sanitank League Cup.

In the second of back-to-back matches at the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground in Woodford Lodge, Chaguanas, Strikers got two goals apiece from Lincoln Brown (16th and 26th minutes) and Victor De Silva (30th and 37th). Corie Dhanoolal (eighth), Keron Fox (68th) and Balondemu Julius (71st) chipped in with one apiece.

In the earlier contest, Fire Services strolled to a 5-1 triumph over Leeds FC. 

Lyndon Luke (18th and 23rd) netted twice for Fire Services, while the other goal-getters were Hayden Brathwaite (42nd), Handell Manswell (48th) and Kevon Cornwall (61st). 

Christopher Samlal (56th) got the consolation for Leeds FC. 

On Friday last, in the first of a Quarter Final double-header, Perseverance Ball Runners needed kicks from the penalty spot to defeat Central Soccer World 5-4, after the scores were locked at 1-1 at the end of regulation time. Kedell Glasgow scored in the 71st for Perseverance Ball Runners while Dion Lewis responded seven minutes later. 

And, in the other scheduled fixture on Friday, Perseverance United rallied twice to edge Enterprise Youths 3-2. 

Dwayne Leon (eighth) put Enterprise ahead before Isiah Pascall equalised in the 48th. Nathaniel Douglas restored Enterprise’s lead but Perseverance United responded with strikes from Akil London (70th) and Stephan Garcia (79th). 

All of the Quarter Final matches were held at the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground.
