In-form striker Jason Marcano on the attack vs Puerto Rico's Bayamon FC.After suffering a 1-0 defeat in thier opening CFU Club Championship Final Round clash against fellow Pro League club Joe Public on Wednesday, San Juan Jabloteh rebounded with a 4-1 trashing of Bayamon FC 4-1 on Friday night.

The victory returned coach Terry Fenwick's team´s hopes of advancing into the preliminary round of next season's CONCACAF Champions League and a mathematical chance of lifting the CFU Club Championship on Sunday.

Joe Public and Islanders are already into next season's CCL preliminary round with four points each and are both with the advantage of lifting the CFU title, while Jabloteh  have three points and Bayamon not earning a point, will have to await Sunday's final matches to know their faith.

Bayamon (who suffered a 3-0 loss against Puerto Rico Islanders on Wednesday and Friday night 4-1 loss against Jabloteh) will play Joe Public from 4pm on Sunday, while Jabloteh will tackle Islanders from 6pm--both matches will be played at the Marvin Lee Stadium.

Speedy midfielder Kennedy Hinkson opened the scoring for Jabloteh in front of a crowded Marvin Lee Stadium in the 25th minute, heading past goalkeeper David Sierra Manzanares from a left side cross by Ataulla Guerra to give his side a 1-0 advantage after a tight opening period.

Jabloteh held the 1-0 advantage untill the break before adding three more goals in the second period courtesy a double by Jason Marcano (55th and 90th), and the fourth item by debutant Mikhail Awai in injury time.

Marcano who was denied by the Bayamon goalie's fingertips as he guided the ball tipping the crossbar and behind in the 24th minute and again in the 27th minute, found the back of the net in the 55th minute with a smooth finish after Guerra's brilliant pass forward to Hinkson on the right opened way for Hinkson to race into the area and play a square pass to Marcano who made no mistake for a 2-0 cushion.

But Bayamon pulled a goal back in the 58th minute when Kendall Watson Manley was left free behind the Jabloteh defence after breaking the offside trap to meet a freekick to beat goalkeeper Cleon John for a 2-1 score--as the entrie defence stood in shock.

Jabloteh pressed for more goals and Guerra who was involved in the two opening goals played substitute Noel Williams free in the 67th minute, but the utility player's effort was just wide of the far post.

Bayamon showed some determination and in the 71st minute midfielder Ceasar Elizondo Quesada was given space to open fire on the Jabloteh goal, but goalkeeper Cleon John made an excellent block.

Jabloteh then introduced Johan Peltier who immidiately  added to the Puerto Ricans´ defeat.

Less than a minute after coming on, Peltier turned and fired at goal but it was an easy foil for goalkeeper Manzanares. Peltier later spilled in the 82nd when his half volley off Noel Williams knockdown in the Bayamon area ended up in the stands.

Then his great pace on a counterattack proved too much for Manzanares who fouled the Jabloteh player on his way to goal forcing referee Courtney Campbell to award a direct red card on the Bayamon goalie.

Substitute outfield player Keith Pabon then took the responsibility of the number one shirt with all three changes already being  made, and conceded a pair of goals before the end.

From the penalty spot Marcano confidently place a low shot into the right corner in the 90th minute, and Awai later made it 4-1 with a powerful one time blast past Pabon from 20 yards out in injury time.

Islanders rescued by injury time against Joe Public.

Bmobile Joe Public failed to hold on for victory against USL club Puerto Rico Islanders on Friday, in Day Two of the CFU Club Championship Final Round at the Marvin Lee Stadium allowing a late item for a 1-1 draw.

Public held a 1-0 advantage for most of the second period thanks to a wonderful strike by midfielder Marcus Joseph in the 52st minute, but a shocking four minutes of injury time worked in favour of Islanders.

The Puerto Ricans leveled the scores 1-1 seconds before the final whistle from a long throw-in on the left side which made its way past the Lions defence, before Joshua Hansen got a flick to it with his head beating the gloves of a desperately outstretched goalkeeper Marvin Phillip.

Had it been a victory for coach Derek King's side, lifting the CFU title would have well been in Joe Public's favour on Sunday.

However, the winners of the 2010 CFU Club Championship will be decided following the results between Joe Public against Bayamon, and Jabloteh against Puerto Rico Islanders at the Marvin Lee Stadium 4pm and 6pm respectively.

Joe Public(4 points) and Islanders(4 points) have already secured their places in next season's CONCACAF Champions' League while Jabloteh(3 points), 4-1 winners against Bayamon(0 points) on Friday night also hold a good chance of advancing.

Goalscorer Joseph was actually the first player to have an attempt on goal, and a good one in fact putting goalkeeper William Gaudette to work in the 4th minute.

Two minutes later, Islanders' Nicholas Adderly tried an ambitiuous loop over his head from distance, and forced goalkeeper Phillip to backpedal and collect just before entering the goal.

The Islanders goalie was again at work in the 16th minute as the match settled, but he had a simple task of wrapping Trent Noel's shot which was directed at him.

But, he could not rescue his side in the 51st when Joseph smashed in a superb strike some 25 yards out beating a fully stretched Guadette after creating room for himself outside the area.

Joe Public goalie was then forced to make a brilliant one handed save in the 76th minute pushing wide--substitute Sandy Gbandi's powerful blast.

Then, Joe Public failed to cushion themselves after some great midfield play opened up play for substitute Yu Hoshide for a one on one with goalkeeper Gaudette in the 79th minute, however he squandered the opportunity which would have secured a victory hitting directly at the Islanders' goalie.

On the other end, Phillip then made back to back saves in the 86th minute blocking out a point blank shot by David Horst, and the follow up by Noah Delgado from the angle to preserve his side's advantage only seconds before the final whistle by Jamaican referee Raymond Bogle.
