Robbie Findley (Phoenix, Ariz./Shadow Mountain HS), a senior forward on the Oregon State men’s soccer team, is one of the most dangerous attacking players on the West Coast. With 22 career goals, he is fourth all-time at Oregon State. He’ll tie the school record of 32 goals if he matches the 10 goals he scored in his first year, when he was named the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year. Findley is a three-time All-Pac-10 selection (twice on the first team). He sat down for a few minutes to talk about the upcoming season and his future.

Warrior Nation member and former Trinidad & Tobago women's national team member Nadia Gruny together with Nayasha Mendez (also a former T&T national team member) have been named as Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar for 2006 by Diverse Issues in Higher Education .


To be eligible for this award, students have to compete in an intercollegiate sport; maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20; and be active on their campuses or in their communities. Nadia, a senior marketing major and Nayasha, a senior accounting major are both members of the South Carolina State University women's football team and both had a 3.90 GPA.
