The West Texas A&M women's soccer program added its eighth and ninth All-Americans to the record book on Wednesday as Asha James and Maria-Frances Serrant were selected to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America teams.

James, a second team honoree, scored eleven goals and assisted on seven others from her midfield position. The Canaan, Trinidad & Tobago native earned Lone Star Conference Midfielder of the Year, First Team All-LSC, D2CCA All-South Central Region, and United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region.

Serrant picks up All-American status in her first year with the Lady Buffs. The forward put together a fantastic first season in Maroon & White, scoring 17 goals and assisting on four others for 38 total points. Serrant was named the LSC Newcomer of the Year, Forward of the Year, and Player of the Year during the LSC Women's Soccer Awards Banquet in November.

The Lady Buffs ended the 2022 season with a 14-4-4 overall record and secured a spot in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2018. WT defeated St. Mary's in the first round of the tournament before coming up short to top-ranked Dallas Baptist in the second round.
