Despite having only a handful of caps, Anthony Wolfe clearly did something to impress head coach Leo Beenhakker when he was brought in for the home stretch of Trinidad and Tobago's Germany 2006 qualifying campaign.

The Manzanilla-born striker currently plays alongside national team-mate Cyd Gray and brother Glenton for Trinidadian club San Juan Jabloteh, and he will offer another attacking option in addition to regular front men Stern John and Dwight Yorke.

Something of a surprise package in the side, 22-year-old Wolfe has been scoring regularly for Jabloteh, whom he joined after four years with North East Stars, and with his physical strength and eye for goal, he could prove a handful for opposition defenders in Germany.

“Anthony is an unselfish centre-forward, that can be lethal in and around the penalty area—I think he has great potential,” Jabloteh coach Terry Fenwick said of the emerging striker.
