Carlos Edwards is confident he will be fit for Town’s next game, at Middlesbrough on September 15.

The Blues’ skipper sustained a groin injury in the first few minutes of Town’s Capital One Cup defeat at Carlisle and was forced out of the draw with Huddersfield at the weekend.

The international break has come at a good time for the Trinidad and Tobago international though, who told the Club website: “I was disappointed to miss Saturday’s game but the injury is on the mend and I should be back in training very soon.

“I did the groin early against Carlisle and I knew it was bad straightaway. I carried on for another couple of minutes but every time I kicked the ball I felt some discomfort and I told the gaffer straightaway. The last thing I wanted to do was make the injury worse.”
