Carlos Edwards, following a solid season for Luton Town has been given the Young Members “Player of the Season” award.

Carded to travel home soon, Edwards was happy for the silverware after his first full season for Luton .
“It’s always good to take something home. We couldn’t capture much as a team but I think we held our own and we certainly had good times. Hopefully next season will be a better one for us and I feel pleased with winning something on a personal note,” Edwards said.

He was not the only one winning awards, as Jason Scotland also celebrated being St Johnstone’s topscorer in the Scottish First Division with 15 goals, the most by any player at that level.

“It was rewarding season for the hard work. I made my mind up that I had to press home hard and it paid off with 15 goals. I really hope to keep this up as the matches come up with the national team. If all goes well, more goals should be next to my name,” the former Defence Force player said.
