And Russell Latapy who arrives back in Trinidad on Sunday is said to be a talent spotter for his now former club Falkirk FC.

Falkirk boss John Hughes has offered the role to the 40-year-old who is now assistant coach of the Trinidad and Tobago Senior Team.

The Bairns will get no compensation as Latapy has a get-out clause in his contract, the Daily Record newspaper stated.

Hughes said: "I asked him to let us know about players he sees. He knows a player and has brought a few to the club."

Latapy himself is up for assisting local players in whatever capacity.

“I made the decision to return home because I felt I can offer something valuable to the development of the game. So if I see there’s potential that can be developed and there is the chance for a player to go abroad and get the chance to play at a higher level then I will look into it.

It’s similar to Keon Daniel, who I think is an exceptional player and if we can work with him to help him develop some more then that’s definitely on the cards,” Latapy told TTFF Media.
