Kelvin Jack has joined fellow Conference side Kettering Town on loan for three months.

Mark Cooper has allowed the Trinidad and Tobago shot-stopper to join his former club to get first team football.

The Quakers boss has moved to bring in 22-year-old 'keeper Dan Lowson as a replacement.

Lowson, who was with Ilkeston before they went bust, has joined Darlington initially on a non-contract basis, and goes into the squad for tomorrow's game against Wrexham.

Mark Cooper said: "It's been frustrating for Kelvin, he wants to play first team football and I don't want to stand in his way, but with the form of Sam Russell it's been difficult for him.

"Dan will bring good cover for Sam, he'll keep him on his toes and he's looking forward to joining up with us tomorrow."

Lowson is a former England schoolboy trialist and previously played for Gretna and Newcastle Blue Star.

Jack hasn't yet played a competitive game for Darlington after signing for the club in May.

He played for T&T in the 2006 World Cup while with Dundee in Scotland and then signed for Gillingham, playing 11 games for them.

He spent the second half of last season with Southend without making any appearances.

Jack had previously played for TrinCity United SSC, Joe Public, Yavapai Roughriders, VCU Rams, Doc's Khelwalaas, W Connection and San Juan Jabloteh before originally coming to England to sign for Reading in 2004.
