Trinidad and Tobago Anthony Wolfe netted a hat-trick to guide San Juan Jabloteh to a comfortable 3-0 win over Tobago United in a rescheduled Pro League contest at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima on Thursday.
The 22-year-old was an unused substitute for Trinidad and Tobago during their Group “B” campaign at the FIFA World Cup in Germany.
On Thursday he tapped home a loose ball in the 20th minute as the Tobago goalkeeper failed to hold a harmless freekick.
Wolfe converted a penalty in the 51st and completed a wonderful evening’s performance when he headed home a left-sided centre from Jason Marcano in the 76th.
Jabloteh, who are now on 26 points, will meet Superstar Rangers in the second match of today’s double-header at Arima, from 7 pm, in Round Two.
The “Eastern Lions” Joe Public will oppose the struggling Defence Force two hours earlier.
