Glen wil gave dem defenders horrors .. trus mi  . I see glen scoring nuff goals for we. I will love to see the Grenada Jamaica game though , there is sum serious bad blood between those  2 teams . Grenada is comming saying dat JA doh Respect dem.. and JA saying allyuh lucky to beat we last time.. But rememebr Grenada beat JA,  while JA was boosting a full squad.. Semi Finals and Finals will be televised on Fox Soccer Channel.  CVM of Jamaica will bring some sort of highlights or full matches (24 hour delay I think) as well of this round

Meet Grenada's Anthony Modeste

Born August 30th, 1975 Anthony Modeste, nicknamed Nixon, is somewhat of an enigma. He claimed the prestigious Tony Burrowes player personality award for the Jamaican Digicel Premiere League (DPL); as well as assume the captaincy of a DPL Portmore United team laden with Jamaican talent, however, he humbly continues to remain true to his name.

Modeste is one of the most successful players in Grenada history; he currently captains his national team and has collected over 30 caps. It is that very experience that sets him apart - seemingly never flustered or rushed, the granite Grenadian is an enforcer in midfield and at the back. With the ability to read the game, break up plays and expansive passing, his experience and coolness under pressure has made him an invaluable addition to the Portmore Posse.

In addition to his defensive qualities Grenada’s captain has scored 10 goals in his 30 international appearances.

For a player born in the Caribbean to sign with one of the most successful clubs in the DPL, and assume the role of captain you must know that this Grenadian grenade is a true leader of men and an explosive talent.

His name may be Modeste but there is nothing modest about his game, a constant irritant to the opposition and a player of great utility he has been playing on Grenada’s national football team from the tender age of fifteen and has lead the Spice Boyz to the final round of the Digicel Caribbean Championships 2008.

Grenada’s unexpected rise in the DCC has captured many football fans’ attentions.  Grenada is definitely a team to watch in the Finals.  Modeste comments on Grenada’s chances at the Finals: “We are grateful and happy to be here in Jamaica for the Finals.  We are looking forward to the matches ahead and are not taking Group A lightly.  They are all quality teams who are much further up the FIFA & CONCACAF rankings.

“We are going to take one game a time and accumulate points and move on the Semi-Finals.  The game is its own reward and we have faith in our ability and are confident we can go ahead.”
