WC looking pretty good for the last 20 mins.  Looks like that goal against them was a wake-up call.

You pay the price for throwing away. There is no way why WC can't win this match. But they missing their opportunities and they paying the price. 2-0.

Continuing where they left off against the Houston Dynamo, W-Connection wasted several goalscoring chances and ultimately paid the price as they suffered a 2-0 loss to Panamanian club Arabe Unido at the Hasely Crawford Stadium. Goals were scored by Luis Cesar Fraiz (28') and Abdiel Arroyo (61'). W-Connection's next and final Champions League match will be against Houston Dynamo on September 25th.

Arabe is a squad I have much love for, yet still hate to see a local team squander golden opportunities. However, in terms of the longer term picture, Arabe is a team where a local baller or two could find a home. Good talk.

The CONCACAF Champions League, originally known as the CONCACAF Champions' Cup, is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) since 1962 for the top football clubs in North America. It is the most prestigious international club competition in North American football. The winner of the CONCACAF Champions League qualifies for the FIFA Club World Cup. Since 1962, one football club from Trinidad and Tobago has ever won this tournament, twice, and they are the Defence Force football club. Those teams truly represented football in the country of Trinidad and Tobago.

Lost on Caledonia and W Connection, the two latest representatives from Trinidad and Tobago, is the fact that it is not enough to enter a tournament of this magnitude where the stakes are high just to learn something year after year. You have to prepare yourself as a coach and your team as combatants with the tools and the ammunition they will need to succeed at this level. Your learning curve in this tournament is fleeting and short lived because of the relatively short duration of the tournament. To enter this tournament without a plan to backup your initial plans to succeed, just in case it does not work, is to prepare for failure.

I am reminded of Michael Jordan and the Bulls in their first ever NBA finals against the Lakers, after they lost that first game, Michael told his teammates that was it "We are not losing another game". They went on to win the tournament in 5 games. That's a prime example of a backup plan that worked. Whatever it might have been.

The truth is Shabazz and Fevrier are not good coaches outside of the pro cemetery. They lack the tactical knowledge and know how to compete with and prepare their teams to be successful against the other coaches outside their domestic league. Until they can prove otherwise, they are doing an injustice to football in the country.

Both ah allyuh doh have a clue..You'all grow up in the "Just do it" era. Consider yourselves lucky, to have achieved all that you have already. I suspect niether of you have experienced much successes or failures at adult (men or women) football coaching. Am I right or wrong ?
