An official venue announcement will be made Tuesday.

Nash is a decent place man. Might be a lil cold in April especially with the weather they have been getting this year.
Last time I went there in mid march years ago it snowed.

Nashville is no more redneck country than Orlando. It in the south yes but it is a big tourist destination. Plenty hotels and tourist events. As long as yuh don't scan the radio dial (plenty country music stations) it like anywhere else.

Just exit the staduim walk over the bridge and yuh downtown. Nice, scenic easy walk across the bridge (Cumberland River). Hotels everything in a central location. It have hotels right across the parking lot from the Stadium.

I can have the days off so no worries there, ;D ;D my boss ok with me fixin my schedule however I want as long as it work out to 40 hours at the end of the week. SO half a day wednesday take thursday completely off or reverse it and make up rest of the hours Mon Tue and Fri.

This is incorrect. It would be 7:45pm EST. Central Time is an hour behind EST.
Problem is since Wednesday I watching flights and they going fast. From my area now the arrival flights I looking at getting in at around 4;30 pm and I just thinking that if I get delayed any where, I not getting there in time for the game. The connecting flights that get me in around 1pm selling out fast.

Fyzo, I was looking at Knights Hotel at the beginning then I read a review where the person said it in the "wrong" part of town and while they were there, the popo was called to the hotel 2x for different reasons. So I looked into the Ramada which got mixed reviews, but the most common complaint seemed to be it need a re-model. Faded paint etc. Everyone who stayed there specifically for going to the LP field didnt have a problem. People who stayed there for vacation like more that 2 nights didnt like it. ???Someone complained room service didnt give her extra towels. But I figure, I does walk with my own anyway, so. go figure.

I liked the section that you had posted earlier.....I was looking at getting the tix for $48 or $36....not really sure what the difference is though as opposed to the ones for $70....but yeah I'll wait to see which seats T&T supporters are getting...Yeah I'm arriving on the night of March 30th. U.S. soccer event builds a fan base

Bob Bradley sat in a West End restaurant Monday afternoon wearing soccer warm-ups. They were very nice soccer warm-ups, mind you, but most everyone else wore suits and professional attire.
Still, anyone who recognized Bradley knew he was dressed for success.
Bradley, 51, is known throughout the world as one of the top professional soccer coaches. He currently serves as the head coach for the U.S. Men's National soccer team, which faces Trinidad & Tobago on April 1 at LP Field. The FIFA World Cup qualifying match is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
"The fact that it's a World Cup qualifier, it brings more importance and an extra level of excitement and passion," Bradley said during his short trip to Nashville. "For soccer fans, what you have at that moment is a sense of what it means to get to the World Cup. When all those things come together, especially in a city like Nashville, people have a proud feeling about being American."
More than 12,000 tickets have been sold for the Nashville match, and U.S. Soccer officials said fans from 43 states and three countries already have purchased tickets.
Music City has a solid history in supporting professional soccer. The U.S. played in Nashville in 2006 before the World Cup and during qualifying for the Olympic Games. This match, however, will be the first FIFA World Cup qualifier in Nashville.
"It's a very good playing surface," Bradley said of LP Field. "From a coach's standpoint, that's always really the most important factor of all. We certainly hope that the crowd is going to be very big. We all saw that there was an intimate feeling in the lower bowl during Olympic qualifying (in 2006). There was some very strong pro U.S. support."
This will be the third World Cup Qualifier for the U.S. this year. On Feb. 11 in Columbus, Ohio, the men defeated Mexico 2-0. The second will come on March 28 at El Salvador before the U.S. team heads back to North America. It all leads up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Some of the more notable names on the U.S. roster are midfielder Landon Donovan, defenseman Carlos Bocanegra and goalkeeper Tim Howard. As Bradley continues to build his roster — which will include some younger players — he said he is attempting to create the perfect balance of talent, experience and energy to make the U.S. successful.
"My feeling is that there are very good things happening," Bradley said. "As a group, there's a sense of how we want to go about our business, how we want to play. If we continue to do that in each one of these qualifying games, we will not only be in South Africa but that we will have a very good team."

Alright, foreign based ah need help with mih wardrobe. Ah hearing that it's still cold up there and I eh have winter clothes. Will a sweat shirt over my regular clothing (T-shirt and jeans) work or ah need to bundle up even more?
The only places here I know off hand that would sell anything close to winter wear is United Colours of Bennetton and/or London Clothing Company. So I'm wondering if I should bundle up before I leave or I could make it with a sweat shirt.

based on the city map, i figure that i could park at the Metro Courthouse, located at the south end of 2nd Avenue and Union St. then we could walk acrosss the Woodland St. Bridge to LP Field.
before and after the game we can check out downtown nashville and the fetes respectively.
is this doable? my concerns with this plan are:
1. is it safe to walk across the Woodland St. Bridge to LP Field? Are there pedestrian lanes?
2. is the Metro Courthouse parking lot safe and close enough to the downtown attractions and the entertainment district to walk?
3. do i need to bring my gun in case of jackers in downtown nashville late @ night?

De next time ah goh have acess to a fridge is bout 7 - 8 pm Monday night. I was telling ah friend of mine (Palos, option #1.... ;D) of my plans and was informed that it would spoil by Monday night.
Now I know that if its not stored properly, coconut water does spoil easy, easy but I figured if I put the procedure above in place I should be alright....

That line up gives you...a solid center in midfield and CB... nobody getting through easy and if they switch to wingplay the wingers are very good defensively and the fullbacks especially Carlos are good offensively
and with Ince in goal commanding I cant see USA scoring more than 1 against that gameplan
Then you have the attacking threat to score... Latapy off Stern or Jones..I prefer Stern as his technique if higher than Jones and his finishing and instinct as well..but Jonesy has a good work rate and threating build and can pick up free kicks and add to the ariel threat...So it's an either or situation
With the class and calmness of Latapy who will pick up fouls and we can use our set piece strength through deliveries from Carlos and direct free kicks through Noel who is a specialist
give that side 60 mins and we'll be leading 1-0... then you can bring on Daniel for Latapy and let him play his true position CAM(aka the latapy role)
if we are losing you bring on one of the strikers to play up top with whichever striker started and you bring Wolfe RB and Carlos RW and bring on Daniel for one of the midfielder(Trent or Hyland) and send him out LW and play a 4-4-2

Thomas is not that bad on the left. Quite frankly, I don't know who can do a proper job on that side for us.

Every now and again yuh does write something sensible but then you have to revert to the normal VB. Keyeno Thomas still evolving? You move a hardback man from central defense to left midfield just so. Okay now on to the un-VB part, the part that makes sense. I agree with you that at this point in his career Stern might/will make a good withdrawn striker/midfielder. I will personally leave the striking to Jones and Scotland. Stern is an excellent passer and possesses excellent ball control and sublime skill. People calling for Cornell glen. Well the only position available for him IMHO is the position that Keon Daniel/Thomas plays right now.

Your criticism is logical. Ah saw KT play on the left before and he did an OK job. Better than other I've seen.

Ah think if we go 4-4-2 against the USA with the 3 strikers we have available.....we will be picked apart in midfield, our midfielders won't have much service to offer our 2 strikers, and we'll have 2 passengers up front occupying nobody while the midfield is overrun and the defence under constant pressure.
Maybe Keon Daniel is not the answer....but I cyah see 2 strikers being the solution to start the game away to the USA.
I agree, 4-5-1 is a must, our main objective here is not to concede just like the plan vs. Sweden and England. After what happen in Chicago I would like to see Pacheco start on the left wing cause he'll be much more solid defensively than Daniel and Aklie could use the help even though he has improved. Noel or Leon parked in front the back 4 with Birchall and Hyland running all over the dam field. Scotland on his own up front like he does for Swansea to try and conjure something out of nothing to steal the 3 points.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior Footballers inclusive of English-based duo Chris Birchall and goalkeeper Clayton Ince, both back from suspension, settled in Nashville after arriving there on Sunday night for the upcoming 2010 World Cup qualifier against the United States which kicks off at 7.45 pm (T&T time) tomorrow.
Captain Dwight Yorke also traveled with the squad and will take part in training despite his ineligibility for tomorrow’s encounter. The team arrived in two batches after taking connecting flights out of Atlanta before checking in at the Hilton Hotel in Nashville. The players spent most of early yesterday off their legs with Francisco Maturana scheduled a training session for 6.30 pm (7.30 pm T&T time) in what has been relatively chilly conditions here.
T&T’s goalscorer in Saturday’s draw, Khaleem Hyland spoke about the team’s mood going into Wednesday’s clash at the LP Stadium, describing it as upbeat. More than 17,000 tickets have been sold for USA-Trinidad & Tobago encounter, presented by Dodge, tomorrow at LP Field in Nashville. Kickoff is set for 6.45 pm and will be shown live on ESPN2 and Galavision.

Just four days after an inspired comeback against El Salvador salvaged a point for the United States Men's National Team, Bob Bradley leads his troops to Nashville, Tennessee for a match against Trinidad and Tobago. After two games in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying for the 2010 World Cup, the Americans sit on four points, alone atop the six-team tournament, while their opponents have two after ties with the Cuscatlecos and Honduras. For the U.S., the tilt offers an opportunity to right the ship after what can only be considered a slip-up over the weekend. For T and T, it represents an opportunity to pull off the upset El Salvador couldn't.
Déjà Vu All Over Again
While most teams in the region are familiar with each other, the U.S. and T and T are even more so, having played twice in the third round of CONCACAF qualifying as the duo both earned the right to represent Group 1 in the Hexagonal. The Americans won the first match, a 3-0 victory in Chicago, while the Soca Warriors handed an already qualified U.S. team its only defeat in the round on the return leg. Since it's early in qualifying and Bradley needs a win badly, Wednesday's affair should mimic the first game more than the second. That said, the El Salvador debacle proved there are no easy games -- a mantra the U.S. coach repeated ad nauseam yet one that still seemed to be lost on his players.
"We Gotta Start Makin' Changes"
The failings over the weekend came from many different spots -- the entire U.S. team looked apathetic for the first hour -- but no one struggled more than Sacha Kljestan. It was his second poor performance in a row and it's becoming clear that he needs a bit more seasoning before being handed the keys to the American offense. On the other hand, Jose Francisco Torres changed the tenor of the El Salvador match when he entered, playing fearlessly and brilliantly. With the Pachua midfielder and old hat Pablo Mastroeni available, the likelihood of Kljestan seeing the pitch seems slim. On a similar note, one wonders whether Bradley will give Jonathan Bornstein -- who replaced goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann in Nashville -- a start at left back in place of Heath Pearce, who also struggled in Central America. Or, will the U.S. manager give up on both of his underachieving fullbacks and slot DaMarcus Beasley at the position?
"Hit Me With Your Best Shot"
At this point in the tournament, the Soca Warriors have to feel good about their position. Had the team managed to hold a two-goal second half lead on the road in El Salvador, T and T would be tied with the U.S. for first place, but it remains a mere two points behind the Hex leaders. With Honduras stumbling out of the gate, while Mexico, Costa Rica, and Americans struggle as well, the World Cup spots are up for grabs in a way that not many would have predicted before the tournament began. The Caribbean nation has plenty of work to do, but a trip to South Africa isn't out of the question.

And ah collect mih ticket by de Stadium and some where between there and the hotel ah loss mih T&T bandana....steups!!!...
Oh and before ah forget...for the alcoholics...de Scotch ready and waiting and de coconut water under ice.... :cheers: :cheers: ;D....

Ah need some advice. I was planning to buy 2 bottles of coconut water Sunday put dem to freeze and den pack dem bright and early Monday morning.
De next time ah goh have acess to a fridge is bout 7 - 8 pm Monday night. I was telling ah friend of mine (Palos, option #1.... ;D) of my plans and was informed that it would spoil by Monday night.
Now I know that if its not stored properly, coconut water does spoil easy, easy but I figured if I put the procedure above in place I should be alright....
So wha all yuh think?

I was there as part of the on field med. staff back in 1989 at El Camino College ground in Los Angeles when the strike squad came away with a 1-1 draw against the U.S.A but, from what i have notice of these last 2 games by the soca warriors one can see that they are trying to be very organize in defense in there half of the field but they need to get organize in the attack and in the final third as well however, There is a strong feeling that tonight 's game will be no walk in the park for the U.S.A.

Is funny, I read some many posts from other posters regarding our wing backs who are happy w/these selections, sad to say these guys not ready, maybe wolfe can be excused b/c he is a forward whom Maturana tried to turn into a wing back. Rookie mistake from Akile on the goal, goalside, goalside that's how you defend and our best wing backs are left at the door step. Keon is clearly not match fit (left link or no left link) and our overall intensity is low, one can say there is no leadership nor organization on the field and particularly in the middle of the park. Hopefully it can be worked out at the half. We can still grab at least a pt here, but something drastic would have to be done at the half, starting w/the midfield, too bad we could not replace the wing backs as well

Every time the states get the ball in our half we start backing off. They making it so easy fuh the yanks tuh string passes together an boss possession. Plus, this direct play have to go, is pointless hoofing tuh Jones as he is clearly not dominating his markers. Better to play tuh feet and hope to draw fouls then see if we could nick ah set piece. My advice, more pressure on the man in possession and keep it on the ground unless is ah cross from the flank.That sums up the game so far. No pressure at all. some thing still leave alot puzzled bout this game...why did Leon start over Hyland??...only men i hear in my life vouching for Leon strongly were TI and Touches....if Hyland had started then the option to take out Birchie would have never been an idea....and we could have used that subtitution to bring on Latapy....and I have to admit oo, and join teh club that says Akile is not ready for national team football...its right to blame him for the first goal and he did not look like a confident player for most of the game...

Did you read my first post that you quoted....tactically it would seem so because the selection in the beginning was f**ked up..so of course tactically it would seem so..like i said if Hyland had started with Birchall then there would not be a n optionfor a Birchall substitution hence providing a Latapy substitution as an option...and plremeber player selection also have an affect on the game..

The core of the TT team plays in EPL. Some starting on their team, some riding pine and some injured. How long does Pacho get to coach them fellas. Our players just hoof most of the ball up front for Stern and KJ. Always up in the air. Our game is disjointed, not fluid. How come our EPL guys can't play as fluid as the US. Maybe they not good enough. The guys who riding the bench, those who injured or slightly injured need to keep themselves match fit when they come to play for TT. We have no good mid playing in Euro. I think is high time we use more local players. At least he will have more time to coach them. Right now the EPL guys ain't saying BOO!

I finally made it home after a 3 1/2 hour delay in JFK....ah never fall down in mih bed till 1 am this morning.
Is a good ting ah get 2 hrs sleep at the hotel before ah leave, 1 1/2 hours on the plane to NY, about a 1/2 hour here and there in JFK....another 1 hour while Delta sort out dey problem...about 2 1/2 hours en route to Piarco and thankfully a good 3 1/2 hours in mih nice warm bed as such I am surprisingly very bright eyed and bushy tailed here at work today... ;D

well after 14 hours in the airport, which included running off a plane to dodge a tornado i back safe..
was ah good trip rollin with optimus and he pops but after this ah go need another month or so before could even conceptualize costa rica. lol

well after 14 hours in the airport, which included running off a plane to dodge a tornado i back safe..boy we went to sleep bout 4, i getup bout 8 and tell Preacher..'boy i heading to the airport'..even though meh flight was 5-6 pm lol
was ah good trip rollin with optimus and he pops but after this ah go need another month or so before could even conceptualize costa rica. lol

Tallman, when I was in the airport, guess who I see? Bradley. An I was wearing my little trini pin on my coat. Went up to the man an said "good game chief" He said thanks, shake my hand. Only after I get back to my seat, I say to myself, shoulda take a picture. :-[
