way boy .... how you go hate Ibrahimovic dry jess so without reason?

Dat is the man who miss about 40 sitters when we draw with Sweden, and allow we to get that result. If is anything, I thought he wouldve been a cult hero instead.
It come like he play 12th man for TT that day .... making one clearance after the next, instead of burying it in the back of the net.

How about all of the above. It have plenty people who would love to have Jack rank - but very few who have what it takes to walk in his shoes. Plenty men could talk, write and say that they would do this and that differently, but put them in the same boat, with the same temptations and replicate the corporate culture - and the result will be the same, if not worse.

We does see it right in Trini .... one corrupt politician being replaced by an even more corrupt one - no matter how many promises are made that they will steer the ship correctly. How many times have we heard "Is we time now!" ?? .... or "If dey tief, we could tief too!!"

Don't get me wrong ... sometimes the decisions you may have to make to see you firm/ company advance may not always be morally correct in everyone's eyes ..... but ask them who they would put in place of Jack - and GUARANTEE that person will never transgress, bend or break rules.

watch Godfather come to the rescue, pay LP salary, and score some more political points.
Hunt get he clear cut chance to go one up on Jack, and like Chris Iwelumo - he miss a wide open goal with no-one to beat but himself.

Inzaghi i doh like that man at all, Donovan and RVN to

I can't hate Inzaghi too much anymore cuz now he playing part-time for Milan.
But RVN  >:( >:( >:( .... and what about Forlan.

If Forlan didn't come to ManUre to add more toots to the growing heap ... then Yorke mighta stay a while longer - blame AF for that though.

that is why Manchester losing 2-1 to Everton in the morning. Book it!

As for people watching that "other" game .... the prospect of KJ sweating in the derby will be a bigger draw than watching C.Ronaldo attempt to break the world record for summersault cobo swoop dive.

you still giving them 1. Who scoring that? that would have to be Kyut ... cuz Keane and Torres mashup. The problem I see with that is Kyut need 10 chances to score 1 ... and it have no way he getting 10 chances Sunday.

Just before I started Pres, there was Anthony Sherwood and his brother, Jamie (I think). There was also a stopper named Marlon Morris. Emile Allahar was spiderman incarnate between the uprights. When I started going Pres - there was Prior Jones, Rhett Mitchell, Cecil Hinds, Kevin Mohammed and Rigobelto Cedeno ... Avery was a relative smallman, but still sweating and refining the blade pelting craft.

At Benedict's there was the legendary Ivan Sampson ... and the keeper who probably sit CXC 8 times, Ravi Samlal. Benedict's also had a very crafty midfielder in the early 90s that use to hit men drag and send them straight to the chiropractor. Can't remember his name though.

Naps didn't matter in them days and was always a sam side, cuz they didn't start importing players until after they had gotten promoted from being relegated.

Yeah it was Brehme vs Holland. Brutal game..fellas real hate it each other. Watch how Rijkaard and Voeller start to boil over. When Voeller purposefully try to handle the ball into the net..Rijkaard completely loses it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXGjyz72bxo&feature=related

Good game!! That rivallry wasn't only West Germany vs. Holland ... it was a big Serie A sweat: Inter Milan's Matthaus, Klinsman and Roma's Voller versus AC Milan's Gullit, Rijkaard and Van Basten. I am sure that just added to the hatred.

Football / Re: FA insists Jamaicans settle debt
« on: October 24, 2008, 02:18:23 PM »
The Football Association has said it will pursue Jamaica for a £135,000 debt despite the Caribbean country's FA believing it would write off the sum.

The row could potentially damage England's 2018 World Cup bid.

Jamaican FA president Captain Horace Burrell is an ally of Fifa powerbroker Jack Warner, a vice-president of football's world governing body.

The FA has also reported the debt, owed on tickets from a friendly against England in June 2006, to Fifa.

Burrell insists FA executive Simon Johnson ratified a plan in April to write off the Jamaica Football Federation's (JFF) debt in return for a credit towards a youth training centre on the island.

The FA says the agreement needed to be signed off by the FA board - but there has been no move to present the deal to the board since then and there are no plans to do so.

The FA said in a statement: "This debt remains to be paid in full and we expect the JFF to repay it. The JFF has acknowledged this debt.

"We have been aware that the JFF have experienced financial difficulties since the game in 2006 and it would have been futile for us to pursue the debt aggressively.

"At no time did Simon Johnson make any promise that any training facility built in Jamaica would be funded with the outstanding debt.

"While we acknowledge that the subject was raised by the JFF, Johnson did make clear that any proposals from the JFF for such a facility would need to be discussed and ratified by the FA board.

"No such proposal has been submitted to the board."

Oh gosh why allyuh aint leave Jack name alone ;D

This will be like trying to squeeze water out of a rock. I would expect a Jennings BBC special on how JW is holding the FA and England's WC bid at ransom for a 135k debt. Doesn't the FA have more important things to tend to .... like trying to get LESS controversial, easily intimidated and unknowledgeable refs to officiate games in the EPL?
I guess with the over-inflated pound getting killed on the forex market these past few weeks, the FA is doing anything and everything to get their hands on as much $$ as possible.

Funny thing, is that it's coming right back to Concacaf as grease money for votes.

Phillips told the Express: "I don't know where he (Hunt) got his information from. I am not going to comment on anything that Gary Hunt says or Jack Warner says, they are both politicians, I am not."

Asked whether he will continue working for the TTFF for no salary, he said: "Absolutely, that will be taken care of, I have faith in God."

the man kill two bird with one stone in that first statement. lolol.

then double back and call Jack Warner God .... cuz it couldn't be Jesus father he asking to pay that salary.

Irwin was Uniteds most consistent defender from 1992 - 1999. He was also great going forward as his goalscoring record suggests.

Whether he was United's most consistent defender doh mean anyting when yuh lookin at best wing backs.  Compared to de men on dis thread, he come like Avery John.

Nex ting allyuh United men go say Gary Neville deserve to be on de list too... ::)

Well since people are mentioning Micah Richards, I don't see the harm in throwing Irwins name into the discussion. In his day he was one of the best full backs in in the UK. Compare that to Richards who can't even get into the England squad ahead of Wes Brown (who isn't even a natural full back).

But then I am replying to someone who earlier stated that Clichy is a better wing back than Evra, so this comes as no surprise...

nice try venerable, but that is apples and oranges.

i listed micah richards as one of the best defensive wingbacks today.. If we had this thread running back in 1992, well yeah we coulda talk denis irwin..

but come nuh man, how yuh go bring dat shitong like that into ah discussion about all time greats?

and even back in dem days, 'one of the best full backs in the UK' was no kinda pips..

English full backs at that time was a setta hoof-it-out wildmen. Who want to talk about Denis Irwin back then when yuh had men like Brehme, Maldini, Cafu, Branco, Laurent Blanc, Sergi Barjuan, Frank De Boer and such fellahs to study?

breds..I am pretty sure that Laurent Blanc and Frank De Boer never play no wing back. Especially not slow as molasses Blanc. De Boer was a sweep too

true talk.. my bad.

but i know de boer start out in de LB before moving across to stopper.

good talk .. dat is the Ajax days of Kluivert and Van de Sar.
I never checked ... but I wonder if Beenie had coach all them big players.

The Entire world will stand still for a moment .

It will be business as usual all day, all night on Nov 19 so de world have nutting to worry about.

I guarantee it.

lol. Careful how you guarantee ting like Concacaf results here.
Trolls from Guatemala/ Boulder, CO will accuse you of colluding with JW, having a vendetta against all teams not Trini, and might even call you JW disguise!!
Then:
1. The NY lawyer might be calling you.
2. Next time you in Piarco, you will have to answer questions from reporters with no credentials.
3. He might alert Jennings & Liburd to your status.

The only way to deal with that will be hiring SAM as a henchman to slap up and dropkick one more Guat.

Irwin was equally good with his left or right foot, took free kicks and scored, great football brain and was damn great defensively. Roberto Carlos is overrated in my opinion, still can't play defense and was great going forward and use tuh get lucky with his long exaggerated run up and the ball 'sometimes' ended up in the net or took a deflection and ended up in the net as a result.

So R. Carlos is overated ... yet he win the WC, came 2nd in Ballon d'Or voting, was named one of the top 125 living football players, won the 08 Golden Foot and played the most games ever for Real (not to mention La Liga titles).

Irwin on the other hand win the Champions League and some domestic titles ... so comparing him to R. Carlos, I guess that make him an overrated rank shittong.

Remember in de 2001 qualifiers we beat Canada 4-0 so a big win for Jamaica is not far fetched.  If Jamaica get one or two early goals it might deflate Canada and open de flood gates for Jamaica.

Jamaica cannot beat Canada by 4 clear goals no matter what team Canada bring.

Mark it down.
IF trinidad have done it , why not Jamaica ? .  :whip:

Aside from the fact that it's a completely different Canadian team now as back then, Jamaica simply doesn't have the firepower.  They have players who can penetrate but generally can't score.

There's a reason they've scored 3 goals in 5 games in this qualifying.
Bahamas college team beat Jamaica in Haiti 1 nil ,
what was the score in Kingston ?. :whip: :wavetowel:

what was the score? .... btw - were they playing a Jca college team?

Unlike us, I don't think either Canada or Jamaica retained any of their players since 2001 WCQ (Maybe Ricketts and Burton), so I don't think our result vs Canada has any bearing ... but I think all three teams will be going ftw.
I see Mex beating Honduras cuz there's no way Sven will play for a draw or lose, otherwise he will have to deal with the further wrath of the Mex press and federation. Besides that, if they draw - the pressure for Mexico to beat Honduras twice in the hex will be insane.

I think Jamaica will win comfortably at home ... so it will be tough, but Honduras is going home.

Looks like TT football has the best mathematicians on the planet (Well at least Pres). Who could ever forget this? .... "Football is not played on paper, it is played on a pitch.
