Men can't be bothered with cricket these days since that beating we get from Sri Lanka.  ;D No activity at all in the room.

I'm a bit suprised, but New Zealand 195 all out (45.4 overs) beat South Africa 108 all out (34.1 overs) by 87 runs.

No Inzamum, Shoaib or Asif for Pakistan as the latter two failed drugs tests (nandrolone) and will be going home.

is 2 wins enough to advance to the semi-finals? they are using net run rate as a tiebreaker - this would seem to apply if the group finished 6-2-2-2 but how likely is that?

http://www10.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/2006-07/OD_TOURNEYS/ICCCT/ICCCT_OCT-NOV2006_TABLE.html Below the points table is an explanation of the separators. Yes, net run rate is the primary separator.

Our turn up next. Honestly I am not worried about the match. We never know which West Indies side will show up. I feel if the guys come out prepared to play good cricket that they will beat Australia. Time will tell.

The thing is I can't help but have expectations of the team. We'll see how they do. I have no tv, but I might get up to listen to it.

http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/iccct2006/content/current/story/263832.html Eng vs. Aus match preview dubbed the "Divali Battle".

Sri Lanka have New Zealand in a lot of problems. New Zealand was bowled out for 165 in 49.2 overs and in the 24th over Sri Lanka are 117/1. Tharanga on 48 and Jayawardene on 40. Unless a major collapse happens in the next few overs Sri Lanka would have successfully recovered from their opening game loss.

Sri Lanka cruised to a 7 wicket win. Tharanga 56 and Jayawardene 48 led them to the easy win in 36 overs.

RSA v Sri Lanka Bulletin This group is wide open.

Live Scorecard - NZ v Pak Pakistan in trouble.

Windies Preview
India Preview

An important match for us and we may have to play it without Lara. Chanders is back though so at least if Lara does not play we won't be two top class batsmen down.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. Smith and Gibbs back in the pavillion since the 1st over of the innings. Dippenaar and Kallis the not out batsmen. 21/2 after 9 overs.

42/5 when de Villiers was out caught by keeper Akmal. It's now 60/5 after 16 overs  Kemp and Boucher attempting to keep RSA in the tournament. Three catches to the wicket keeper already. Gul 2-20 off 5, Iftikhar 2-16 off of 8 and Arafat 1-23 off of 3.

Remarkable, but not suprising turn around. Pakistan lasted all of 25 overs with two players getting to double figures. Pakistan and Sri Lanka are out of the championship, I'm not sure many would have been betting for both of them to exit at this stage.

Australia (240/9) beat New Zealand (206 all out) by 34 runs. New Zealand recovered for 35/6 to almost make a match of it.

yeah well, that's the behavoiur I would expect from the aussies. they have become intolerable and intolerant in their behavoiur.
why is it tho that those in authority seem to be afraid to reprimand them? good for Mr. Pewar, he showed the class that was lacking in the champions. you know that was the one outstanding thing about the winning windies, everybody loved the team. they were really great winners.
good for us... ;D
