In-form Tobagonian striker Keno Proctor to go on trial with Philadelphia Union in 2012
By Scott Kessler (The Brotherly Game)

St. Clair's Coaching School star striker Keno Proctor scored another hat trick en route to the club's third straight Tobago Football Association Cup title, but he has set his sights higher than a regional trophy. The 25-year-old wants to play alongside one of his friends, Keon Daniel, next season.

Proctor told the T&T Guardian that he was set to go on trial with the Philadelphia Union in 2012, giving him the possiblity of becoming the third Trinidad and Tobago player on the team (Daniel and third string goalkeeper Thorne Holder are both from the country).

"I am looking forward to it and hopefully play with my friend Keon Daniel," he said to the T&T Guardian. Proctor's statement also gives hope to Union fans that Daniel may return to the team in 2012, after most likely missing the last three months - including the playoffs - of the 2011 MLS season because of visa issues.

A trial with a MLS club is not something that a Tobago FA Premier Division player typically comes across. The TFA PD is only a third division league in the Trinidad and Tobago soccer system structure.

However, Proctor's form for St. Clair's has brought attention throughout his country as well. Eight goals thus far in the TFA PD has put Proctor at the top of the scoring charts through 10 rounds of play. In addition to Proctor's individual stellar form in 2011, St. Clair's is currently 10-0-0, and has only had five goals scored against, while scoring 38 goals for an average of nearly four goals per game.

Though his form in the league is exceptional, Proctor's scoring rate in Tobago's FA Cup is even more impressive. 14 goals over five games came from four hat tricks and a brace, a ridiculous statistical line for any striker throughout the world.
