Akil Pompey becomes first Trinidadian to sign in Mongolia‏.

We are pleased to announce that our client, Akil Pompey has signed for Khoromkhon FC for the 2012 Mongolian Niislel League season.

Akil, who resides in Connecticut, was spotted in Singapore while hewas trialling with a S-League club. He was subsequently approached by Trebol Sports International Sporting Director, Bryan Lim who told him about this exciting project in Mongolia.

Akil said, "I am very thrilled about this Mongolia opportunity and Iview this as a stepping stone for my career in Asia. I want to help the Club win the League Championship and qualify for the AFC President's Cup. I will not only become the first Trinidadian to play in Mongolia but also the first Trinidadian to play in the prestigious Asian tournament!"

Akil will join up with 4 other quality foreign players from Singapore, Japan, Nigeria and Canada (courtesy of Trebol Sports International) at Khoromkhon FC on 17th June.

Trebol Sports International will continue our project to boost thelocal leagues of developing Asian footballing nations with quality foreign players. We wish the Akil and Khoromkhon FC success for the 2012 season!

Pompey wins first professional honours with Khoromkhon FC‏.

Trinidadian Akil Pompey has helped his club, Khoromkhon FC capture the Borgio Cup (Mongolian Cup) after anemphatic 7-0 victory in the final over Ulaanbator City Bank FC on 8th July.

Akil completed a demanding first round of 7 league games in a week and gained 5 victories, 1 draw and a loss to end up in the top 2 positions in the League. The Borgio Cup pits the top 2 teams in the 1st Division and the 2nd Division in crossover semi-finals.

Ulaanbator City Bank FC had eliminated Mongolian's AFC President's Cuprepresentatives, Erchim FC on penalties to earn a spot in the final against Khoromkhon FC. Akil said, "It's a great feeling of accomplishment to come here in my first pro experience and win a cup.

It's been a little tough but all of us are finding a way to make everything work. I am very happy that half the job is done. Now I am looking forward to the second round ofgames with much anticipation as we strive to achieve the double." The 2nd Round League games will resume on a weekly basis on 4th August.

Khoromkhon FC is well poised to complete the double and qualify for the AFC President's Cup as they are currently joint top with arch rivals, Erchim FC.
