Well a 1-0 defeat in the last seconds by a debatable goal but that just how it is atm. I may add the 1st 30 minutes was as bad as I have seen and trust me through the many years I have seen some tata.
As the quote doesn't seem to want to work atm, it just keeps "Loading".
After his last couple of jobs I think Moyes maybe regarded as "damaged goods" by some. I don't think any manager / player thinks joining is a career enhancing decision, I think the money is very good and they don't have to do much for it. The owner has tried previously to get Moyes so maybe he felt really wanted, it didn't do Allardyce any real harm. He is honest a little dour and has made a few mistakes in the things he has said to the press, interestingly he and the CEO have been on a charm offensive with the fans this week, going unannounced and uninvited to a supporters group meeting.
Its a strange one, he was far and away the obvious candidate, the only doubt I had was the same as Martin O'Neil a little too late and without his right hand man seemed a shadow of his former self.
He hasn't been dealt a very good hand, a ridiculous amount of injuries and by all accounts he was always very studious / long winded around buying players, he didn't have that luxury in the summer. We needed at least 4 1st team players, not bodies/ squad fillers or kids. As above again we failed to do it and this has been compounded by having to throw them and kids in and "his signings" haven't looked anywhere near up to it. The jurys out to whether he will be afforded the time, once the fans go the other way it only ends in tears, they have already had "clear the air talks" this week which is never a good sign. He may not of been dealt a good hand, been a bit unlucky, but I doubt think anybody can argue he hasn't played it very well. From my side I hope he gets through it, but we have a very old saying in supporting the club "Its the Hope I can't Stand"
