The U17s played yesterday and today. 5 players invited to join the squad. Lets hope they fear better than the U20 boys.
I am hearing that quite a number of girls from Tobago have been invited to train with the national u15 team...... As many as 12. This is to be confirmed though.
Confirmed game without a venue?
this is football in trinidad
With u20and17 coaches preparing to come to Tobago to scout players. A practice match between the u17 and u20 was today cancelled because the car park of the Dwight Yorke stadium was rented out for model car racing 😞😞😞😞😞
Hi Guys are there any teams in TnT looking for a coach? PM me for my CV if interested
Perhaps a rundown on your credentials might elicit some interest.

There are a numerous reasons Tobago's football product has been in such poor condition. It would take too long to go over all the issues. What I can say is many of these issues are being addressed...it will take some time but I do expect Tobago's (youth in particular) football to demand more respect in the coming years. Can you state exactly what is the work you are talking about?
Lots of work to be...and is being done.
This Tobago group in training story around for sometime now. The problem is the 26 mentioned entered a strength and conditioning program but the Tobago boys do not have the benefit of this coordinated preparation. They will probably bring a Tobago 11 to play a Trinidad 11 and not choose Tobago boys. We need the same process and preparations for all boys.
RG, when the coach mentioned the players they've seen, he's talking about from the screening a year ago. The Tobago player is playing uphill on a sloped field. The national pool were training 3 times per week for about 4-6 weeks, and then went to 1 day a week sometime in August. They continue to train together and still haven't brought in the fellows that they selected from Tobago to be included in the initial pool.Elie made clarifications on the radio today. Said he has observed training in Tobago and that he has made fervent efforts to incorporate the Tobago-based players, but these efforts have been frustrated (likely by the usual suspects: resources and getting things done ... I did not hear a specific reason offered).
Seems the plan or intention is to pull a few from Tobago rather than to integrate all from 'Bago with all from T'dad and see who can hang.
My view: picking winners is just as effective as tossing a coin.
There is a group of players from Tobago currently in training for screening. They've been in training since February. Players were being screened from January via the Tobago Zone SSFL. For Tobago, this is a step in the right direction (pre-screening training sessions rather than one-off surprise dates). Hopefully this will open the Tobago player's eyes to what is possible...
From my experience, the following words still resonate, " we have enough strikers in Trinidad, we looking for a central midfielder and goalkeeper. We'll have you as an alternate". I'll say no more.

Honestly I'm not sure, but money being an issue is highly unlikely. It's been like this for a while now. Have to look into it.

The notion that there could be a national champion when one or some of the zones were not represented (for some strange reason)....is complete BS. The Tobago winners were not a part of the national championship.
You are correct. Was it money problem for air travel? I think is time they have a ferry service from Toco to Scarborough. Is only about 23 friggin miles. Geez. Congrats to Shiva.
Check this. I tried googling the distance between Toco Lighthouse and Pigeon Pt. I got a one hell of a direction.

Young sir/lady (knowing full well that Adrian has been used as both a male and female name)...understand this. Unlike many on this board who don't really care about the whole Trinidad and Tobago thing, it's downright disrespectful to the entire country and its citizens to call the country something it's not. I have never represented the country of TOBAGO nor ever will. I was born on the island of Tobago and happy to rep the people who are from and live here. Upsetting isn't a strong enough term when I hear our national athletes, who should know better, do not. I'm making a plea to you.....RESPECT THE COUNTRY OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO.
