I agree with the excessive, unnecessary double-teaming in the post.
As for Copeland... I have seen roughly 60 of the 82 Knicks games, about 3/4 of the season. Copeland isn't known for creating his own shot, he's more of a spot-up shooter, but yes, he can take his man off the dribble. Being able to take a man off the dribble and being able to create is two different things... the latter requiring handles and an ability to finish at the rim or in traffic. That's not Copeland. I didn't necessarily mean playing both of them at the same time, that would be suicide... especially on defense. I mean put either one in and the Pacers would have an edge.
Some trying to fault Woodson for playing the big lineup... but the Pacers winning because they getting more bites at the apple... they getting two shots to every Knick one. Play like that and you guaranteed to lose. So I understand the strategy, even if it didn't work. As for Kidd over Pirgioni... I can't really defend that, Kidd knows how to settle the team down and get them to stick to the game plan, run the offensive sets. Pablo brings a bit more energy and offense. Again, I can't defend one over the other, but I understand it.
We NEED JR Smith tonight.
