Sando, I know you pissed off at the national team. Yes, they underachieving. But to say the other CFU national teams have not improved is not true. But it is frustrating to see our team’s gross inability to put away teams or hold a lead with 5 mins. to go in a game.
Like I said this is “practice” games. And I hope DL and staff are making appropriate assessment of players. So when the real games come up, starting with the CFU Cup, we don’t want any excuses. One thing bothering me though. Someone questioned if the players selected are chosen to see if they can make the grade at the international level, or are the chosen to get the international caps so that they could be sold to clubs overseas. If it is the latter, then that defeats the purpose of the former. We can’t be “playing games” with the development process for selfish reason.
This comes back to Contro. I know he pisses off the forum sometimes, especially with the call to bring back SH. But he has alluded to this on some occasions. I think many of us or all us know this sort of thing is going on. This is a new era in football where big money, legal and illicit money is driving or ruling the game. Take your pick.
Let me guess Guyana and other Carib teams have improved so much we should expect not to beat them (dais the same rhetoric I was hearing after the Grenada game in here)
For me its more like T&T has is so bad now we on par with these Carib teams
.
hard to explain these 2 games. We may have to stick to Caribbean opponents for sometime, Antigua and Bermuda next.
Not really, we are experimenting and our last two opponents are not the push overs that we think they are.
Having said that, we are undefeated in our last two games.
VB
when did that happen? maybe im missing something here. I was somehow under the impression that rebuilding a team takes time and lots of effort and not some fly by night venture. lord give me strength. sigh.Prepare yourselves for plenty more of this in the years to comehere you go with the gloom and doom, why can't we see this as the beginning of the rebuilding process where we have to get down and dirty in the clean up campaign, why not reserve our judgment for later.
Kudos to the reported 2000 to 2500 fans that allegedly came out to see the game. Die hard T&T supporters, family and friends
The team had already rebuilt and was having success.
Allyuh puppeteers decide to sabotage the team to use it as dey personal audition stage to try and sell players in the Pro League to make $ fuh deyself.
Now you have the gall to come on here and preach bout rebuilding and patience?
Allyuh must be really feel people dotish in trute. Your message board name well appropriate.
That's the truth . . .
Go back in history...maybe 18-24 months prior to today's date. Check to see which person was at the helm of the T&T men's senior team. You should need strentgh to ask why are we rebuilding a team that had been in the same rebuilding process almost 2 years prior. Instability is a hell of a thing eh.

This is not rebuilding, this is clearly a coach and an FA with no plan for the future. We are calling up players to geta look at them that but these players will be 33 and older by 2022. It makes sense to include young players with seasonned experienced veterans though those veterans will be too old in 2022. These seasoned veterans have so much to share with the young guys that these fringe national players that will be too old in 2022 do not have. England played Germany a few days ago with a very young squad. We play Grenada with Pro League men that will be too old to compete for 2022. Pure pack a shitPrepare yourselves for plenty more of this in the years to comehere you go with the gloom and doom, why can't we see this as the beginning of the rebuilding process where we have to get down and dirty in the clean up campaign, why not reserve our judgment for later.

Ah doh like Dennis as we coach. Bring back Hart
Glad we playing some games, decent team but I feel players 29 and over like Kevon Villaroel shouldn]t really be on this team, now is de time to groom some younger players, especially left footed players and a number 10.
Noah Powder, Rundell Winchester, Duane Muckette, Shaquell Moore, Andre Fortune, Aikim Andrews, Keston Julien and Tyler David.
Even some of them SSFL youths like Kierron Mason, Oba Augustin, Quinn Rodney, Judah St Louis, Kyle Thomas and Che Benny.
maybe not. mexico is not as quick and explosive as the hondurans and the panamanians so we might be able to contain them providing that we have the right keeper in the goal post(hopefully its ranjitsingh) I like this young squad and just maybe we might give a good showing now that the pressure to win is off.Ah not even remotely interested in this match, but ah cyah ignore it. How we got to this point is a crime against football.
We looking at a minimum of 4-0
Someone mentioned it before, I forgot who, he will kill it then try to bring it back to life so he can be seen as a hero....but I don't think that's likely.

Which team was gelling?i understand everyone's frustration mate i really do but we must keep in mind that a coach was fired in the middle of a hex by a broke federation who did not have the finances to bring in a top notch coach like benhaker a champions league winner who had money bags jack warner footing the bill last time around and with good reason, jack knew how much money was at stake to blow such a big pay day so he gave Leo cart blanche to prepare the team well and we all saw how that went.
this time around we had a federation president with no ideas no clout and no sponsorship who could not even afford to scratch his head let alone bring in a minor league coach so they opted for a rookie who had to hit the ground running, fair enough. but the questions was which team was gelling, believe it or not this team may have been out classed by some very good teams like Costa Rica and honduras but it's not like they were totally dominated by any stretch of the imagination with the exception of the usa at home, and in any case Lawrence used all the same players that was on hart's core squad starting line up.
j jones
Molino
Cyrus
M Williams
K jones
Hyland
Garcia
Cato
Lewis
Bateau
David
boucard
kevan goerge
ceaser
Abu bakar
Mitchell
Marvin phillips and jan micheal williams.
Curtis Gonzales Alvin jones and hashim arcia was featured in harts tenure with the only new faces being Carlos edwards boatswain and villaroel and none of these guys replaced anyone of major significance with arcia and boatswain only featuring on the starting line up when kenwin got injured. I really dont see the problem here.
105 alone you say?You are correct, I was hoping that the strength of the Hex competition would cushion our fall. Just wishfull thinking.
One of the reasons for our catastrophic fall is that results older than 4 years drop off.
What happened summer 2013? Stephen Hart took over at the Gold Cup and we had the first hints of a revival.
Look for more precipitous drops as the positive results of Harts era begin to fall off the calculation. We ent seeing the bottom yet.
I think a lot of people on this board don't understand the psychology of sport and suffer from insecurities and an inferiority complex
They constantly feel other teams are far superior when that is far from the truth.
Our team was destined to qualify in the top 3 until the dictator took over the federation..
No matter how much you think it doesn't matter, that destroyed team chemistry and our chances, it wasn't the players being less talented, it was a significant disruption
Our players need a great coach, they had one and he got fired because of the dictator and his ulterior motives..
If you want to preach your narrow mindedness that's fine but don't deem what I'm saying as nonsense because of your own fallacies
Congo,
I see where you are coming from but the challenge is getting 5 -7 players to agree to make that move. At the end of the day they seeing our history of poor administration so the group scene may not happen. They probably waiting on others to make the move such that no one is making the move. The Federation needs to sit down with a group of players and convince them at the same time. However, I doubt they are capable of doing that so we stuck in this current mess.
