I still doh understand this rule change. Intercol (and all knock-out competitions) is win or go home! They should use this format for the big 7 or big 5 or what it is ang get the magic of the knock-out back...win or go home !!

Agreed....I think they changed the format when the Central Division came into the fray.
They should use the present Intercol format for the BIG 5 competition, perhaps call it the BIG 8, and use the current BIG 5 format for Intercol.
