Sunderland striker Yorke in 102mph ban.

Football star Dwight Yorke lost his driving licence after motorway police clocked his Mercedes coupe at 102 mph as he headed home through North Yorkshire from a training session.
Harrogate magistrates heard how Sunderland midfielder Yorke had been stopped by a police anti-speeding unit on the A1 (M) at Dishforth, near Ripon, on September 25.
The 36-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international, who had been returning home to Alderley Edge, Stockport, was not in court to hear his solicitor Nick Freeman, known as Mr Loophole, argue that the credibility of the police evidence – an officer had made seven changes to his statement after advice from the Crown Prosecution Service – was questionable.
Magistrates rejected the defence submission, convicted Yorke and fined him £350 with £300 costs, a £15 victims' surcharge and a 14-day driving ban.
