@peong...Herdman said Tyrese is going to use the break to rehab a niggling injury, even though he continues to play for Toronto (started again today).
I think Herdman (The Paymaster) has a valid point though.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My unabashed excitement and optimism from Angus' provisional squad carries over to the final squad selected for the Grenada/Bahamas games.

Like Angus finally getting a clue with his selections!

No Bateau, Jesse, Primus and Russell Jr., not surprising at all.
Triston has to be pulled square and counselled on his annoying tendency to talk to the officials...once Raymond is fit though it shouldn't matter.

This may be the BEST midfield that Angus has ever selected since he's been in charge.

No surprise in the forwards selected, didn't think Auvray would make it, Malcolm Shaw benefits from Tyrese's absence, he better talk to Real Gill to find out how to shield the football the way a national footballer should.

It is now virtually impossible for Angus to mess up the staring 11...I foresee two victories in these two games, and I have been Angus' BIGGEST critic. :)

I'm only just knowing about Isaiah Leacock, but I have a feeling he getting called into a national team sometime during WC qualifying!

Marvin Phillip spoiled a potentially exciting 2nd-half for me, simply utter madness...deserved victory for Army.

That little Army left-back Felix is a big baller.
Isaiah Garcia will make the WC qualifying squad, no question.
Long time I eh see ah proper man-marking job as the one done by Goddard on Muckette in the first half, damn!

For levity's sake...was there any doubt as to who was coming off from A.C. after Marvin got his red card...Che should have just started walking behind him to the bench :)

Marvin Phillip really eff up the people football game last night...smfh.

Seeing as Angus has FINALLY added the word 'tempo' to his coaching lexicon...I wonder if the tempo-bringing Muckette will even see the field in WC qualifying?? Chances are he won't even make the final cut.

I know, I'm getting greedy; he finally got rid of Hackshaw, I shouldn't expect him to do the obvious with Muckette as well...baby-steps :D

We are definitely qualifying for WC 2026!!!

Eve has finally come to his senses and I will no longer have to suffer seeing Hackshaw coming out of the tunnel to start for my National team!!!

Out of the five or six men that other members named in previous posts, Barnett seems to be the only one who is not listed as outright having a Trinidadian parent...all the others are fair game.

Funny enough Steffen Yeates is listed as having been called up in May or a 39-man squad for WC qualifying?
Has a squad been named??

I take it Civic don't have the infrastructure for filming/streaming games.

I saw the Police game from the Barracks on Sportsmax TV, but not the AC v Civic?

Salt with even highlights online, would have loved to see Muckette's back-heel assist, I all for any kind of Brasilian cheekiness when it comes to football yes:)

Is it me or does Neveal look like he lost a few pounds...like he finally decide to go all in and the be the absolute best/fittest footballer he could be!

Maybe he saw pics of Salah, Sergio Ramos, Lewandowski, Messi, and CR7?
Good for him, we want Angus to have level fit men in we midfield for WC Qualifying and Nations League!!!

Football / Re: Tyrese Spicer Thread

So wait, lemme get this straight...Spicer is left-footed and Herdman (who knows Shaffelberg very well) trusted him to deploy him on the RIGHT side to take care of the left-footed Shaffelberg?!?!

That should generate some kinda interest from our national team coach, at least to have him sit on the bench :)

The full game is on YouTube on the 'SportsMax TV' channel.

Re Peong's observation, is Akash Dhanai still the team doctor; if so was he one of the guys who put Isiah Lee thru the on-field concussion test (which lasted a little over one minute?)...I would hope it was doctor who put him thru those tests.

Eve really trying to force Goddard on this team, sheesh!! Poon-Angeron is a similar player and better passer, but ok.

I've given up trying to figure out just why Muckette cannot be a starter on this team

Hamilton could easily replace Malcolm Shaw, Trimmingham should be in the squad, even if not a starter.

Showtime should have been given a chance before Rundell and Malcolm Shaw...though he is old, I think he should be given a chance going forward...mis dos centavos.

@peong,  :D

I hear yuh bredda...we are the only "footballing" country in the world where a player like him can sneak onto the field in such a crucial match, and after we LOSE, some fans focus is on changing the nick name of the team?

Kalvin Phillips and Pep probably said WTF when they see him run on the field...I know when I saw him in the tunnel, I said, "well dais it right dey, we lorse.".

But yeah leh we get ah new name for the team...I won't even bother to post a link of the nick names for all CONCACAF teams.

So yeah we were beaten by the Canucks/The Reds who move on to play The White and Sky Blue...both nicknames -- on their own -- causes teams to quake in their boots :)

What is the latest with the NC and the new TTFA, if anyone knows?

And seeing that this is the Nations League thread, can anyone more knowledgeable than myself explain to me what a perennially-overweight Neveal Hackshaw adds to the team, that a normal-weighted player doesn’t?
Living abroad, there may be info/insights that I’m not privy to?

The way Real Gill playing and scoring, this means Malcom Shaw is sure to start against Canada while Real sits on the bench!

Also Mr. Muckette, with his goal-scoring, tempo-keeping midfielder self will NOT a see second of playing time against Canada...unless it's a lost-cause late in the game, and still even then I'd be surprised...smfh.

There has to be at least one midfielder in the TTPFL right now who is good enough to replace Neveal Hackshaw in our national team?

I'm not talking about players like Poon Angeron who are already on the team, but other players who will be match ready and fitter than Hackshaw when the Canada game comes around. I know that not every player that looks good, or who you might like, is actually national team material, but there has to be at least ONE that Eve could draft in?

From the little I know playing Futsal is not going you to make you match ready for Canada.

Thanks for taking the time to enlighten us who don't know Thomo.

Ent Cardines already in the fold at youth level, but I never hear bout the other two.

Maybe Eve already have them on his radar and we just don't know...or maybe the next coach will bring all of them home to at least have a look at them before Copa America and WC Qualifying starts :)

Seems as though he's playing for the U-21s right now?

I don't think we'll draft in any players for that one game in March, unless we find someone who is ripping at whatever position they play.
People like this Hackford kid will (hopefully) be on the new coach's radar for World Cup qualifying, if he's better than players we already have i.e.

Angus needs to focus on selecting the best team and approach to beat Canada.

Why would he be given a new contract BEFORE the Canada game (and the exit of the NC???), that's mad people thinking.

The new TTFA may be of the view that he is not the coach to get us thru qualifying and to the 2026 World Cup?

He also needs to be reminded of the bacchanal that was created at the GC that caused Molino to come forward. After that, all of a sudden we rebuilding? All the non-payment of money and the -- alleged -- plea by him to the players to "not bleed the NC" or words to that effect?

If Molino hadn't come out in public, he, Joevin, and Kareem them may still have been there moving in slow-motion on the team. When he finally started selecting the right players, all of a sudden we getting results.

How does Tyrone Charles factor in to a team that's being rebuilt, and WC 2026, he's 35 (I think?)

He should focus on beating Canada, and hope the new TTFA give him ah lil bligh to keep getting all that big money the NC now throwing at him.

Mr. Kounty had to highlight the little jogging from the seven minute clip, he eh mention when he forced his man to play it wide, and when he blocked the surety-goal!!! :)

Fighting down peeps is not in my personality, and I know players miss waaay more goals that they score...but oh gosh Levi you coulda score at least of those three or four chances!

The last attempt to lob the keeper with his right foot, reminded me that he's just back from injury though, and he did something after that, that made me think he felt something...sure enough he was subbed out soon after.

Wasted opportunity to advertise himself in England, still love him, just keeping it ah buck :)

He must be seeing as he has his own thread...what's the feed-forward on that though?
