WASHINGTON (AFP) - Reigning Major League Soccer champion D.C. United defeated Jamaican champion Harbour View 2-1 in a quarter-final round first-leg match of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Alecko Eskandarian scored in the fifth minute but Luton Shelton equalized in the 22nd minute. Josh Gros tallied the game winner in the 64th minute.

The second leg of the two-game quarter-final in the North American tournament of champions will be March 16 at Kingston.

In another Cup match, the Kansas City Wizards and visiting Deportivo Saprissa of Costa Rica played to a goal-less draw in their first-leg match.

Definitely a good result. Harbour view will give them pressure in JA and the crowd will be up for it especially if Adu playing.
THE WARRIORS WILL NOT BE DENIED.
