As you can see, Wando got the game started with a spectacular goal which might be the best result off a throw-in, well, ever. The player launching the ball inbounds was Wando star Brandon Buckholder, who used the uncommon high school maneuver of a flip throw to add more velocity and distance to his inbounds pass.

I don't understand whats amazing about it. Neither flip throw-ins (at least at a certain level) nor goals off of long throws are that uncommon.

Maybe it's because of the combination of the 2? I am sure that's pretty rare.

It's less about the goal than it is about the throw-in for me... the goal just punctuate it. Phenomenal throw... on a rope. Rory Delap would be proud.

The goal scorer should have run to the thrower to celebrate...to give him some props.

This one was even better!! Notice the 2nd time he did the flip-throw-in that the opposing player did not stand so close to the line to avoid getting hit in the face like the previous time!! A lesson well learnt! ;)
