Klose, Podolski & Trochowski were born in Poland and Marko Marin was born in Bosnia. Poland would have one of the best offences in the world if you add those three to their team.

In the 70s for a 12 yr period, Poland was one of the best in the world with players like Lato, Deyna, Boniek and goalkeeper Thomacheski.

Szarmac, Lato, Deyna etc were a special generation. Boniek was on the squad in 78. used as a sub and blossomed in the 80"s

Germany showed how much depth they have in the squad. Dam! They were scary yesterday and the score flattered Greece. However, Germany did show some vulnerability defending against the counter attack, which did not go unnoticed.

Germany eh go change up their style too much against Italy, either.  They are probably the last of the big European teams that come out to just play (attacking) football.  Italy and their usual defensive posture just might give the Germans all the room they need to dominate the game.

So Spain and France aren't "big" European teams?

France for me play more like Italy than the Italians. They have become ultra defensive and depending entirely on the counter. Not impressed at all, but in the knockout stages anything is possible

So Spain and France aren't "big" European teams?

yes they are and I eh meaning to say that Germany is "the only" team that is attack-minded as much as I'm trying to say they don't think or play any other way.  Even Spain will leave out a forward to shore up the midfield and, no, that doh mean they not "attacking" but it means they want control through possession and build a fortress in the midfield.  Germany does jest come out with a kinda posture like dem goin' and do they bess to rain goal on people ass and let the chips fall where they may.  I like the fact that they doh really play too much cautious football.  Their defenders and everybody ;ookin' to contribute up front and I don't think we will see much of a difference in their approach to the game against Italy than what we saw yesterday.  Men go be goin' forward from de start.  Ah could be proven wrong, but the game go be rel boring if I am.

And is not like France doh have de horses to play positively.  Too many teams lookin to play "Mourinho football" which is a detriment to the game.

Just like Germany, 2 more teams with serious depth.
France going to lose though. Unlike the Dutch, who play better the more strife they have in camp, The French play worse when they start to have drama.

I don't agree with leaving Torres out. This makes Spain play a little less direct and could be easier for France to deal with.
