OUT OF THE SHADOWS OF THE PAST THEY COME TO CHEER US
BOYS OF THE OLD BRIGADE OF GALLANT CIC!!!

Good work DOMBASIL sign of things to come next season

As I said in the other thread. I am not coaching this team. The fella who took them down, is coaching them now.
It was a good day for us. It's been a long time.

Nah Fellas. I was the assistant coach for 4 years with Martin. Our last year was the year before relegation.
The fella who took them down is still coaching. Leston Paul did not play last year because he came to CIC with a knee that had just been operated on.
He and Sean did not play this year because they were not into d savannah ting.
Reading in the papers, it seems two things happened. One was that St. anthoony's took the Saints lightly(always a bad thing) and rested some starters. This coupled with Saints all of a sudden playing two national u-17s in midfield mash them up.
You have to love it. (Sorry Andre)

Well, the polls have closed and the noise  you hear is the collective shouts of joy from the rummies because the bars near the polling  stations are now open.

The Princes Town seat has been reconfigured. In fact most of the seats have been reconfigured because of the increase  in population in the respective seats. Both the UNC and the PNM were happy with the new seats because it worked out to be even in terms of which of the new seats would fall into which camp.

Football / Re: CIC ( St Marys)..1st Division results
« on: October 18, 2007, 04:04:23 PM »
No playoff. Last year it was straight demotion. For promotion last year There were two groups in senior division. One with teams in the Championship and another with those who were not in the championship. The winners of the two groups played off for promotion. So you had to be better than a championship team second eleven to get promoted. Diego lost to St.Anthony's but win on protest because St. Anthony's played ineligible men.
This year it is straight promotion if you win your group. Kind of convenient for my side.

Nah. They are way better than that level. You cannot believe how bad it is down there. But  as Touches and many other people have said the level of the whole SSFL has fallen. So if things are bad at the top level try to imagine how bad  it is in d savannah.
PS  I am an ex Saints and Green Machine man, So doh mess up meh side.

I saw the CIC game last week. I was up in the stands. Yes, the opposition team was a complete shit side.
Before I start, I have to declare my position. I was involved  with the previous coaching regime ( The one that did not get relegated).
In my opinion, CIC is not playing any kind of constructive football. The opposition in senior league North Zone are completely inept.  The fellas are still small, and play without any semblance of a plan. They are just out there doing a ting. At this level they can get away with it. But at the next level with CIC's  talent level and athletic ability, there has to be some kind of coherent plan of defense and attack which on the evidence of the albeit one game I saw, there isn't.
I fear that if reinforcements are not forthcoming for next year, it will be relegation next year.

Yes, He has really improved and his strength and heading ability gives Arsenal another dimension to their play.It will be fun and interesting to see if he continues to improve and by how much.

Adebayor is worries bro.  And only gettin better.  I wouldn't be surprised if he end up with a better career dan Henry.  Comparatively speaking at the same point in their careers (when Henry came from Juve). Adebayor is already ahead of Henry.

That is a real bold prediction. While comparing players at simiilar points of their early career has its uses, the history of football is full of men who had great starts to their careers and who did not fulfill that early promise( Francis Jeffers, Denilson etc.). Yes, I think that he will have a very good career but he has to do alot to surpass what Henry has done at Arsenal (Record goal scorer at Arsenal).

The story is that some fellas had just robbed two fellas down the road and tell them to walk when he drive by and parked his car to go inside and they board him. And If anybody know him, he fighting and they just hit him one and skate out. As simple as that a man lose his life.

It appears that Fenwick refusing to let his players play and train with the national team has come back to haunt one of these players because he now does not have the required amount of senior international caps (0) or even U 23 caps.
Alex from Brazil had to be parked at PSV until this year because he had not played enough times for Brazil. And even now because he still did not have enough caps and  he had trouble.
So even if Wim had gone out on a limb and  written a letter of recommendation, for a man who he has not seen play for the national team and only Jabloteh, saying the man is of the required international standard, do you think his application would have been successful?
Terry is just looking for a scape goat now that his actions have caught up with him.

Unless Corneal has done a complete turn around in his philosophy and demonstrates that he has learned a lot from Beenhaker and Reisbergen I don't expect a lot from this team especially after having seen the abysmal performance of the last youth team under his charge.
Quote
Did the last youth team under his charge qualify for a WC.This one has. Does that not show that he has learned? On the last occassion Anton said that he was not able to properly prepare the team hence the result. Plenty man say he only making excuse. Now he has had an opportunity for a better prep and he has qualified. So, some people moving the goal post again instead of saying well done.

Saw Jemmott last night in the final. Did absolutely nothing. Got a kick and came off with Rangers 2-0 down in the second half. I feel he give up but will take it on face value that he was injured. Ricky Aleong came on in place of Jemmott and made a huge difference. Provided the cross for the 1st goal. More mobile, so he was not as easy to find as Jemmott was before. Helped Rangers come back to tie 2-2 at the end of regulation.

I spoke to a person who is associated with Rangers and it seems that Hardest is irregular  with his attendance at practice and the coach(Street) is fed up with him. I think that they are planning to dock money from his monthly salary in relation to the number of practices he misses during the month.

The fellas looked very organised defensively, and fit.  Midfield possession is still a problem ( just as it is with the senior team). We still depending on a man to do ah ting and get through.
But they did not look outmatched by the Mexicans. The field was hard and that did not help matters in terms of play. But Anton seems to be doing a decent job with the team. The game at Ato will be interesting. The field will undoubtingly be better and it will be cooler (6pm start).
