Bolt touches down for Carnival
T&T Newsday Reports.
AS the stars continue to arrive for Carnival, six-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt has arrived in Trinidad for the “Greatest Show on Earth”.
Bolt arrived in this country on Wednesday night and promptly got into the party vibe by making an appearance at a boat and a breakfast party hosted by Caesar’s Army on board the Treasure Queen in Chaguaramas.
No stranger to taking the lead, Bolt needed no encouragement to snatch the spotlight as he took control of the microphone and demonstrated his DJ skills, wining skills and also tried his hands at some tassa drumming yesterday.
The “fastest man in the world” is expected to hit the road on Carnival Monday and Tuesday with YUMA Band as the Jamaican enjoys his first Trini Carnival.
In an interview with CNC3 after the boat ride, Bolt was asked whether he would be back next year but said it is all up to his coach Glen Mills.
“That depends on how the (athletics) season is. Me ‘cyah’ move unless the coach says so. If the coach says ‘yes’ I’m here next year. If he says ‘no’, I’m sorry,” he said.
