I almost forgot this, but read it in the newspaper today. As many of you may know, Patrick Vieira, ex-Arsenal captain, is married to a trini. As a result I've met him several times at trini fetes here in London. Big, big soca fan (seen him at several Machel concerts now). They now live near Cannes in France.
Anyways, they woke up some morning this week to find themselves feeling sick and groggy, and upon looking through the house, realised that they had been gassed, with the robbers then breaking in and taking what they want. They made off with loads of jewellery, cash and Patrick's mercedes benz, which was later found abandoned. Forensic police later found remnants of gas in the air conditioning system, which explains how the robbers went about things. They say it was Patrick, his wife Cheryl and daughter Cheries in the house at the time. I think Cheries is actually Cheryl's trini daughter from a previous relationship.
This is terrible. At least they weren't sickos who broke in, otherwise god knows what they could have done whilst the family was alseep. Prayers and best wishes to Patrick and Cheryl, hope everything works out Ok.

Yeah, he's really cool, friendly. Seeing him in parties you wouldn't believe that he's the millionaire captain of Arsenal. Think him and Cheryl have been together for about seven years now, got married last year.

Arrests following Vieira burglary
Vieira left Arsenal to join Juventus for £13.7m last summer
Police have arrested five people suspected of being involved in a burglary at the French Riviera home of Juventus midfielder Patrick Vieira.
Police scientists say gas was pumped into the air conditioning system to keep Vieira and his family asleep while they stole jewellery and a Mercedes.
Five people suspected of involvement in the theft were arrested in Nice on Wednesday morning, police said.
The car, with British plates, was found in Nice on Sunday.
Vieira is now in the Alpine resort of Tignes at a pre-World Cup training camp with the France squad after being passed fit after a health check.
Vieira spent nine seasons at Arsenal before signing for Juventus last summer and has won 84 caps for his country.

I remember about 4 or 5 years ago I standing up in what was then the BASE nightclub/ When I do look I see Patrick Vieira walking in the dance normal normal with he tall self.
