Title: "Trip down memory lane ... Feel Free to add"
Post by: goodfootball171267 on November 03, 2006, 03:00:27 PM
We former saints men take some beating this past couple of weeks ... but i would like to mention some classic games for those who can remember ...

1.  Saints / Trinity - Fatima Grounds 82  (4-3 i think return to championship div)
2.  Saints / Mucurapo - CIC Grounds 84 (with Marcelle ... 3-2 Raymond Hattrick Hackette)
3.  Saints / John D - Oval 84 (0-1)
4.  Saints / John D - Hasely Crawford 85 (0-0 lights out)
5.  Saints / John D - CIC Grpounds 85 (0-1)
6.  Saints / Sando Tech - Skinner Park 85 (0-0 Classic Defending)
7.  Saints / Arima - Velodrome 85 (1-2 / 0-1 not too sure)
8.  Saints / Fatima - CIC Grounds 85 (2-0 intercol ... wilson score with a wicked header)

We had some good battles in the north ... vs Fatima with Ramdoo and them, ... vs QRC with gip and them.

I am sure there were more than enough ones worth remembering after this period ... so fellas feel free to add ...

Some time in the mid to late 80's...

A St. Benedicts player by the name of Ivan Sampson was expected to be the savior of T and T football...

.not sure what happened after that... :beermug:

Correction on the year...1979. This game had probably been the most talked about game ever. There are several previous posts  that indicate this.
