Well Tomorrow Friday the 10 th Feburary USA national football team will be taking on Japan football team in a international friendly in preparation for the World Cup. The match will be aired on ESPN2 at - 8 pm Pacific Time , 10 pm - Central Time , which is about midnight Trinidad and Tobago time. So this match in my opinion will be a much sterner test for the Americans than that Norway team because Japan is in the World Cup and will want to make an early impression as well as the Americans. There may be some reshuffling of the team may see some new faces to dispaly their talent but at the same time both teams will want to win the match. So let me know what you think and what the possible score line may read at the end of the 90 mins.

JAPAN ROSTER: Former Brazilian National Team star and Japan head coach Zico has called a 22-man squad to face the United States. The domestic-based group is backstopped by veteran goalkeeper Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi, who has amassed 80 caps for Japan. Experience permeates throughout the group, from the skillful left back Alessandro Santos (a naturalized Japanese) and team captain Tsuneyasu Miyamoto to Takashi Fukunishi in the midfield. There is promise in the attack as well, with striker Tatsuhiko Kubo already netting eight goals in 26 international matches. Currently ranked #15 in the world, Japan qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup finishing on top of Group B in AFC qualifying, going 5-1-0 over six matches and finishing with the best record in either group.

That not too bad. Japan played a decent game then.

Ah fell asleep during the game...had a long day of work. Japan had them under pressure in the opening minutes but d US took over possession and slowed the game to their pace. With the quick passes and fast counters they took over during the first half. Ah cap out a lil after the first goal score but woke up for a lil bit to turn out d lights when the score was 3-1.
If we boys could string together passes and hold d ball like the US could we could rise to their level. Beenie pushing possession and I see them as a team we should emulate, at least in that regard. Remember this is basically their reserve team and they mashin up by following d plan.
Still ent like them though.

Me is nuh no big fan ah de states..ah like ah few players, buh ah was really impress wit de States level ah football..dey look like ah big team...I like tuh give Jack he jacket,I is nuh no hater..dey truly man handle Japan, who fielded ah much betta team than Norway did. De states rise to de level of dey opponents and den dey take over de game and set ah level ah dey own..Japan couldn't handle it until de states make a few subs.So if dey could play at dah level on ah constant basis, dey might match up well against de teams in dey group. But ah still feel dey go geh lixx.

Japan was woeful up until they scored.
No possession. Every time they get the ball they would give it up real easy.
They keep goin up their right flank and the man/men playin there just keep losing it.
USA was roughing them up too, shouldering them off too easy.
It was like backs and forwards, USA had real men in de Japan box.
Japan defense was terrible, poor marking, not picking up runs.
But when Japan scored they suddenly had some good attacks, good build up and passing.
I was hoping they would equalise but I think their 2nd goal came too late.
The way they played for most of the game it was a small miracle that they scored 2.
